This route always seems to have the really old busses whenever I see it at northland

There’s not as many left anymore, but even the newer ones have already been a bit neglected as they are owned by the government and are just maintained by the operator. The Ventura & Dyson ones seem alright.

Its mostly old buses during the weekdays on the 251 and less of the newer stock such as the Optimuses and Gemilangs. Youre more likely to bump into a newer bus on a weekend but you can get a B7RLE from Fitzroy depot on weekends also.

I normally see Volvo b7rle’s run on route 250 and 251, but sometimes a rare L94UB or a MAN 16.240 Designline.

K230 Evos are significantly more common on 250/1 because Thomastown has 10 of them
