You can see immediately what sort of a director he is with how relaxed and comfortable and casual the actors are around him, while Coppolla is great, his press conference was markedly stilted and awkward, he's a great visionary but infamously not an actors-director or something, Lanthimos clearly has his actors that he loves to work with, and who clearly love to work with him, its nice to see for a change. Not every director has to be a tortured visionary

It is sad to see so many actors sitting on the table and nobody asks them anything except for Yorgos and Emma. It's like they cared very little about the actual movie, the characters and the plot. It can't be that everything is around "how is it working with Yorgos or how much Emma likes these characters". Having said that, there were though some questions aiming to really analyse the characters and the film(s), but I find very poor the response both of the director and the actors. Once we had directors like Eisenstein, Tarkovsky, Bergman, Angelopoulos, Taviani and many others who would elaborate on their methods, messages and characters. And here they can't even speak a few sentences of what they are creating. Brilliant actors/actresses. But Is it at the end all about acting? Are nowadays' movies so shallow?!
