thank you so much po, Dr. B for this very informative video! i'm planning to get my braces po kapag may pera or nakaluwag-luwag na po kami ng family ko. i think i would choose ceramic braces po since hindi siya as in noticable and ayoko pong matawag na "nagpa-braces kasi uso" pansin ko po kasi sa mga co-generations ko nagbraces for the fame and trend, eh i badly need braces po since i have croocked teeth.

I badly want to get my teeth done cos people keeps bullying me about my teeth. Anyways, a big Thanks to u po doc once maka luwag2 na yung parents ko i hope i can get my teeth fix na. You can have a tray po as a retainer or you can have a lingual or wire retainer din po :) Advisable po po ang retainer tray because it will serve as a mouthguard na rin po :)

Yes po, as long as you have your natural teeth even if you’re 60 years old. You can have braces :)

very informative video po dra.! never knew may self-ligating braces po pala hehe. i have 2 questions po sana na i hope you can answer. 1. almost 10 years na po ako naka-braces and yung upper teeth ko po when i smile (selfie or picture with fam), lagi kong napapansin na nakatagilid or nakahilig sila. halatang halata po sya kapag tinitignan ko kahit sa mirror. i tried bringing it up po with my dentist a couple of times kaso sabi nya hindi naman daw po. i'm torn po because it's clearly t h e r e. kaso parang mahirap po ipagpilitan kay dentist yung nakikita ko kung siya hindi naman. i'm planning na lang po to get a new braces sa ibang dentist sa future pag natanggal na 'to. maco-correct po kaya 'to with a regular metal braces kagaya po ng suot ko ngayon? medyo nakaka-trauma po kasi, sayang yung bayad tapos di naman po nacorrect pa. 2. i had my wisdom tooth removed po, and ilang months na manhid pa rin yung chin ko and gums. pati half ng tongue ko manhid din and mahina (almost) walang panlasa. nagsearch po ako about this and i think i have paresthesia..? medyo kinakabahan po ako kasi baka hindi na bumalik to 😭 onti na lang po 6-month mark na nya pero ganun pa din. maaayos pa po ba 'to? thank you so much po dra.! this would be my first time po to consult sa ibang dentist regarding po my condition sa teeth. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hi po, sorry for the late reply. Natabunan po ako ng questions 😅 1. For your first question ma'am, I need to see your case first or you can have a consultation with another dentist for it. As an orthodontist po kasi, we have different abilities po when it comes to treatments. For example ma'am, with your case, your dentist, that's the best that he/she can offer but it doesn't mean he/she is not capable of doing ortho treatments or correction of bite problems, etc. But there are other dentist who can do or manage your case better. My suggestion is consult or have a second opinion po sa ibang dentista :) 2. With wisdom teeth removal po, prior to any surgery lalo na po sa wisdom tooth removal, we always explain the possibility of damaging the nerve sa ating jaw. There is always a risk po lalo na kung malapit doon sa nerve na yun ang wisdom tooth. and yes, it may lead to paresthesia nga po. It heals by itself but it usually take time to heal po and get back the feeling sa panga. Some may take months, sa iba po years. Kung matagal na pong walang mafeel, it's better to consult po a Oral Surgeon about it. :) You are most welcome ma'am, and sana po nasagot ko questions nyo. :)

Hi Doc! Until now nahihirapan ako mag decide if hawley or clear retainer yung pipiliin ko. Mas prefer ko sana yung clear retainer kaso nag wo-worry ako if nag te-teeth grinding pa rin ako every night. Possible po ba siyang masira agad dahil dun?

Ganda ng explanation doc.. i have braces before but pinatanggal ko sya before ako umuwe dito sa pinas kc pandemic nga po iniisip ko kung panu ako magpapa adjust which is pinag sisihan ko ngaun kc nag open bite ulit ung ngipin ko ..
