Since my son (and only child) took his own life on 16th May 2016, I think I've either read or listened to this poem every day. It has sustained me, and continues to sustain me through living alone during the pandemic. So thank you x

Lisa, I'm so sorry. For some reason I've only just noticed your message, which touches my heart. I am so sorry to hear about your son, and I know what a weight of grief we share. I am sending loving kindness right back to you and hoping it finds you x

This is the sustainability and sustenance for our human survival.

Kindness is the thread that weaves us all together.

One of my favorite poems and poets. I had the honor to meet and introduce her at a small conference quite a few years ago. She was and is one of the most open and, yes, kind people I have ever met.

Thank you Naomi! I found your poem after the loss of my husband years ago - and it lived on my refrigerator for years - to remind me how much loss can teach us. Your beautiful words still brings tears to my eyes.

The ending lines of this poem are extremely moving for me, and I can't even understand why.

The magic of poetry.

Thank you for enlightening my day and life with those 2 minutes. I have been listening to Poetry Unbound since the start and those short clips are a great add-on and great to share with loved ones.

I was reminded of you when I read a book on archetypes by Nick Bantock. He describes the "Hiraeth", the Welsh word for a deep longing for home. Lost for many years I couldn't even describe the longing. But then, in an interview, I believe it was on CBS Sunday Morning you said "I was lonely for myself". These few words opened a door for me for which I am very grateful. Thank you.

This is great! Your telling just melted my heart and made me cry! This is so true and Kindness is so important to share! Just before COVID hit I decided to go on this Kindness journey doing good deeds and help others who are less fortunate than me and feel free to check out some of the kindness video I have made.
