I bought a Kindle 4th Gen 11 years ago and used it practically every day and always took it out and about and on trips. Can't beat it. In the last few days I've "upgraded" to the White (no fingerprints) Basic Model, no ads, with the OEM case at a knock down price in the UK and I absolutely love it. Set up was a breeze, as was organizing my pretty vast library into categories. For me, in terms of convenience, it's a no brainer. I much prefer using a Kindle and I love the fact that I can browse among a vast online Library, choose a book, download it and be reading it within seconds! I've little use for the built in light, which I've turned off, as I prefer to read in bed with a bedside lamp. But, it might come in handy if I ever found myself in a darkened environment (like the power cut we had today!) or sharing a room with someone who wanted to get to sleep!

Awesome! it's interesting to know that you've been using it for more than a decade! and I agree, kindle devices are quite helpful in terms of portability, comfort, and features. I've been reading a lot on mine lately, and it's kind of growing on me. The reading experience may vary from person to person if one prefers physical books over kindle, but it's subjective. personally speaking, I didn't find any difficulty in switching from paperbacks to E-reader. Also thanks for sharing your experience, really appreciate it. 😇

Nothing can replace the experience of hard cover/paperback... But if I'm gonna continue buying books and run out of space, maybe even I will end up getting one. That's why there is a beautiful concept of exchanging the books. ❤️

I prefer kindle to reading physical books. However, I think I retain more information from books than ebooks, perhaps because the process is slower or because I I read more on the kindle. I’m curious to know why you purchase multiple books, do you resell ?

Interesting, I enjoy reading on kindle too. Mostly because of the accessibility it offers in terms of making notes, highlighting and built-in dictionary. And nope, I don't resell. Just tryna build a home library for myself. 😁
