Really appreciate you taking the time during your trip to create the video. It was very well done. My wife and I have a stay for our anniversary in (2) weeks. We are IHG Diamond members too. We are also from Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. I had a few questions. - How was the check in process, and did you ask for an upgrade for the Premium Oceanfront Room? - Where you offered a $30.00 spa credit? - Did you take advantage of the daily housekeeping plus daily turndown service? - Drinks/Meals/snacks, were you able to charge to your room? How is tipping handled on property. Did you use Cayman $$$ or just US $$$/card? - Any other suggestions/recommendations? - Any issues or suggestions when arriving/returning hone at the airport? Customs? Again, thank you for sharing your trip with us.

Thank you for your comment! We did ask for an upgrade, but we were told the hotel was near capacity during our stay and no upgrades were available. I do not recall being offered a spa credit. The cleaning staff came into our room multiple times per day, cleaning up and restocking the mini bar items. The cleaning staff is fantastic!

Check in was great, they offered us a complimentary drink and were friendly. Yes you can charge any meals at the Kimpton restaurants and bars to your room, and they’ll put it on your final folio. We tipped with both US and Cayman dollars on and off the resort. Overall it’s a very nice experience- the airport is small and it’s a short walk out to cabs. Have a great time on your Anniversary trip!

The taco place "Coccoloba" at the resort was your typical beach resort restaurant pricing ($15-20 per tacos meal in Cayman Dollars). Menu here: www.coccolobacaymanislands.com/menus We also ate out at Mykonos, which was slightly more expensive; mykonos.ky/uploads/2024/02/MSC-New-Food-Menu-3.pdf. We split a pizza and fries there with beers. On average we spent 50-90 Cayman Dollars for 2 people for dinner each night (depending on location and if we ordered drinks).

This was an excellent review! Thank you very much for sharing. Definitely on my top 3 places in my search for a vacay this summer. Question, how safe did you and your husband feel during your stay? I noticed that you two walked to various awesome looking restaurants, and I wanted to get your take on any crime, if any in the area, or surrounding areas of the resort. Thank you!

We felt just as safe walking around the streets and beaches of 7 mile beach area as we would in an upper-middle class suburb in the U.S. (very safe). I'm not sure if there is a lot of crime in that area, but we never had a feeling that someone was following or staring at us while we were out walking. Everyone just left us alone, but local people are very friendly if you need help. While driving through the area southeast of the airport, it looked little more run-down along the road, but we were just passing through on the way to an excursion so I couldn't give a thorough review of safety in that area. Hope that helps - have a great vacation!

We loved your review of the Kimpton Seafire Resort however noticed no entertainment mentioned by the pool or otherwise on or off the property any thoughts

The Kimpton hired a steel drummer by the pool one day, and offered complimentary bachata lessons at dinner one evening. The entertainment offered by the resort (dancers, live music, crafting, classes, etc.) is not as huge as some larger resorts in the Caribbean.

Is the Resort Fee a mandatory payment, or only for Extra Ammeneties? Is it all inclusive? Thanks!

Resort fee applies to all guests. It is not an all-inclusive resort; you do need to pay for dining or motorized water crafts for rent.

Hello, it is not included. We are diamond elite IHG rewards members, so upon check-in we were able to select 2 complimentary breakfast buffet coupons per day (among other options). The buffet was about $55 per person before gratuity I believe.

Looks awesome! Did you just take a cab from the airport or use another service? (How much was it and did they take credit card/cash?) Thanks for getting me hyped up about my stay there soon!

The Seafire can offer various transportation (black SUV/limo/etc) for a fee, but the most convenient/least expensive option for us was to take a cab. They have cabs lined up outside the airport exit that can take you wherever you need to go, and they take credit card. We paid $40 one way from airport to hotel (so for 2+ people in your group, it is pretty reasonable). Have a great time in beautiful Grand Cayman!
