1998 I'm in the SLC library. Set down at a table and reading through a couple books. I notice a guy walk up and stare at me. Guy with him said we will go set at another place. Fifteen minutes later I go look for other books. I see this book my father gave me a few years prior. But this copy is a first addition, has photos. So I grabbed it to thumb through. Out of my peripheral I see a big hand. He was getting my attention telling me he has read this book. My first impressions I made a judgement about him being less than. As he walks around to my right side he goes verbatim on the book that would have trouble paraphrasing. He waddles off palms up "I read all the books" I got the vibe he sensed that I judged him and then showed he is more than. Immediately after that interaction happened another gentleman approached me and said excuse me but do you know who that was. I said no he said have you seen the movie Rainman? I said wow. Then asked if the guy with him is Tom Cruise. We laughed. He then told me all the years he has seen him in there never had he seen him approach someone and start a conversation. I got goosebumps as soon as he told me that. The weirdest thing was immediately after that the for book that a looked at said how to improve your memory.

Also it is difficult to see how brain damage could result in a lack of brain hemispheres. That suggests abnormal brain development, however it is possible that both occurred.

Is it just me or does it suck that media almost always says, "Had this person been restricted in an institution, we would never have gotten to gawk at them", instead of idk, they would probably never have achieved what they wanted and be in the worst shape mental institutions in the 50's could shove them into.
I wish I could have met him. I would have loved to be in his presence.

His father is amazing
What a amazing guy, who wants to be a millionaire would have been a breeze for him.
How does someone not have a corpus callosum? That's incredible.
Fran's glasses are dope tho
fantastic father !!!!!!!!
I'm sad he was called upstairs so soon. The world used to be a bigger place. Fly high gentle soul.
3:05 Unless I am misunderstanding the narrator, she said Kim was 37 in 1982. That isn’t possible since he was born in 1951. Kim would have been 31 in 1982. I mean, am I missing something or did they already mess up 3 minutes into the video?!

I thought the exact same thing at that part and thought i was misunderstanding something. I guess this can be confirmation to both of us that we weren't going crazy 🤣
He seems to have been the original Alexa.
That producer changed his life. His shadow didn't even know how he knew everything!
This man is my favorite. I love him infinetely
Amazing. Just amazing. Fascinating what our brains are actually capable of.
It is my honor to learn about you, thanks 👍
My God. If this isn't an example of God's Love for mankind I don't know what is. What a gift it must have been to interview this person. TY
Was so blessed to know Kim and Fran.
After all that director did, telling him how much he loved im and how he wanted to make him rich and famous and how he was going to be known all over the world. As soon as the movie was over, he sees him the odd time, but the kid was given almost NO money les than 100 grand. greedy bastards
I'm glade I watched this video. Enjoyed

It is reported that he was brain damaged since birth. That raises the question was he brain damaged at birth or before birth? Also it is difficult to see how brain damage could result in a lack of brain hemispheres. That suggests abnormal brain development, however it is possible that both occurred.
Love this guy. That should say that he is the one and only Mr. Know It All. Love you Kim!!!
Imagine Kim on Jeopardy?

He can calculate any day from year 1Ad to 3,000Ad. I wonder why only to year 3,000 Ad and not beyond that?
How was he 37 in 1982 if he was born in 1951 ?

Great display of human brain ability. At the same time we can’t tell that Kim has outstanding intelligence. Yes, he can store extremely high amount of information, but what is the use? If he would make unconventional conclusions out them, that would make it useful. Otherwise it’s just a great library kept in one place.

@@tavferry3301 At first, I would like to add that I totally agree - he has unique and outstanding abilities. Nobody argue with that. My point is his abilities are very limited and following already existing pattern. Being a genius for me is creating something brand new and has out of box thinking. Like Einstein or Newton, or Tesla...

Hello I could read a newspaper before I got put in school but I was unable to speak it. I went to school and did not like school. But on my own I learn because people make fun of me so I cry then they laugh at me. I have found I learn other things too. I don’t have friends and live alone and afraid. I like Kim. I like Daniel. I have been learning sciences too. Nikolai Tesla I like learning playing games I know I am not like normal people. I struggle a lot too.
