For anyone who has never met Finnish fans at a grand prix, here are a couple of examples of what they're like. Jerez 1997: A Finnish fan deafens everyone with an airhorn every time Häkkinen drives past. Eventually the gas runs out. He disappears and returns with half a dozen cans of beer and some duct tape, opens a can of beer and drinks half of it, tapes the can to the airhorn and shakes it, then repeats the process and deafens everyone for the rest of the race. Hungaroring 1986: Lunchtime in the hotel bar. Everyone having a coffee or a glass of wine or beer. In come a few Finnish fans who are clearly already well oiled and ask what one of the spirits is and what it tastes like. They order one each. They then order a bottle of it each. They then order a bottlle of EVERY spirit on the shelf each and with big smiles they disppear off, I assume to find a bar which has some different spirits.

A legendary driving coach that 17 out of 22 current F1 drivers have visited (can't remember his name now) said that the most talented natural drivers and also the fastest have been Hamilton and Räikkönen. Hamilton was 2s slower than target time on first lap but matched it on second try and went faster on third. Kimi was slower at start. But he consistently improved lap after lap until he had beaten Hamiltons time.

@CaptainAMAZINGGG
5 жыл бұрын
@@DarkWarjo - @GarySandStorm i don't think it's that (his being finnish). He has a tendency to come from within (instead of being conditioned by society, etc and taking cues from the outside on what is appropriate to be). His bday is the day before mine and i'm exactly the same. Small talk is pointless and unbearable and my brain CAN'T do it. Like i CAN'T be anything other than ACTUAL me, however that wants to happen. I'm blunt/direct, super open with responses and literal, but also may not say much things to ppl i don't connect with, though it's not of shyness. If there is injustice or annoyance, I will say all the things - no problem. Which comes off as rude, or sassy af, but it's just, i am really blunt and direct. And comfortable with me/expressing, even if i may not do it in certain situations. I don't lie, really. Honesty is a major thing with me, and people may feel slapped in the face with it, esp if they're used to living and connecting in superficial ways. I'm just prone to depth and realness. Or peace and silence (VERY comfortably). With people I do connect with, I can talk all day, non stop (which i've seen him do), and if not with them, i may not talk at all. It's one being in the state of pure beingness, vs the mind blahblahblah ing and thinking unnecessary thoughts, all up in pointless whatever, which cause all these other various distortions..the mind to be fragmented, insecurity to set it.. but to one who is of pure beingness/ in that state.. to be bombarded with pointless unintelligent thoughts and questions, or, round about things that mean other things but aren't the actual things... anything other than that which is direct and sensical (which tends to be the wonky way society communicates) - it may not at first even understood by the brain as that person is just in a whole other space, and then also it can feel SO UNCOMFORTABLE.. like the mind is being kicked in the face by NONSENSE. :') It can feel so disturbing as this weirdness kicks its way into the mind of one who is just not in that space, and also, who is dominantly right brained and intuitive, naturally meditative in their beingness, more feeling based rather than over thinking, so, there is clarity and answers just come as prompted and otherwise the mind is clear.. - i feel this sort of thing was visible on kimi's face when that guy asked about his hunger LOLOL. That feeling of - oh what is this uncomfortable nonsense kicking its way into my awareness?!! It's a thing one can actually feel in the mind and it's a lowering feeling, and it's so funny it showed on his face like that :') i am familiar with it :p People may even think i look miserable but honestly im probably the happiest ever, inside, though not necessarily expressing it :') and then when i DO express it, people are like JFC CALM DOWN, or act all extra about my smiling and laughing a lot when it's a thing around them (laughing is my favourite thing!!, i feel that in kimi too), and showing that i am ecstatic af. Which used to make me not want to do it just from them annoying me, but i dont g a f really anymore. ppl usually tend to be slow on the uptake of what's happening around them, as they aren't aligned, but i recently decided to not wait for them to catch up while they react to every little thing they didn't expect. kuz i owe it to myself to life actually FULLY. Anyways it's so interesting to see all the various similarities in kimi that ppl give me shit for because they don't understand how to come from their actual self and be true to/honor themselves. and im like WHAAT THO :')

3:55 She's saying "What should I do, this guy's a typicall finn, he does not want to give interviews".
They then order a bottlle of EVERY spirit on the shelf each and with big smiles they disppear off, I assume to find a bar which has some different spirits.

were you at these races when these happened
Kimi.. hands down the funniest F1 driver ever. He was missed during his hiatus!
He is the Iceman, Mika Häkkinen is the Flying Finn!!!
Kimi is the guy who can interview the interviewers 😂😂
All the other drivers in the interviews laughing pretty much sums up why we all love him. Just that look of "this fucking guy" says it all.
"Kimi, what happened?" "I schpun."
Vettel's impression is so good and funny :)
"I was having a shit"
The flying finn is Mika Hakkinen The iceman is Kimi
4:04, wow kimi, wow
"And a little bit of a disaster for you and a few others with the yellow flag" "I don't care..."
The man is a legend. Sad that he is leaving f1.😭😭
at least he loves his mum :)
It's good to see athletes that can show their true personalities to the public these days.
Great stuff. He is his own man. Good on him. He has a character, unlike most of the F1 grid who seem to have a corporate rod up their ass.
Kimi gave the least amount of shits an F1 driver can get away with and I love him for it. Love you Kimi and miss you dearly in the paddock.
Just a little reminder: Mika is the flying Finn and Kimi is the king of Spa!
He’s my favorite F1-driver. No fear and amazing Finnish comedy all the way through
Grojean sat there looking at Kimi with a beer like "shit, I'm busting a nut an getting nowhere, Kimi comes in, does as he likes, gives no fucks, wins, drinks beer an eats ice creams"!
Funniest moment was when Kimi overtaked like 15 cars in few laps. That was really fun to watch. Not at all common in pre-flipflop-joke-rearwing era F1 races.
Just regular man who likes what every man likes and he have money to do that. Kimi the most unique guy in F1 ever! If he was lunatic like every champion he would be best ever 100%. Schumi was 1000% in racing
3:52 "It's gonna be hot **smiles at her* She didn't realise Kimi was hitting on her =)
Great compilation, and thanks for uploading. When I first saw Räikkönen in the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix, admittedly I didn't like him, because he didn't look like he enjoyed winning at all. But I started to have a change of heart when he said "leave me alone, I know what I'm doing!" in the 2012 Abu Dhabi GP, but the change of heart was complete in the postrace interview... Even if he can't show emotion, at least he has a great sense of humor!
4:00 "Kimi you missed the presentation by pele. Will you get over it?" "Yeah i was having a shit"
The funny thing is, basically everyone else in Finland is like that too.
I love when Kimi starts talking Vettel just starts smiling knowing whatever he says is going to be hilarious

When Kimi retired,i finished waching F1.
I love the man since his start in the F1 in 2001 when the sport was still about racing. ❤
actually the first person who was given that nickname was a finnish long distance runner, in the 1920s. hakkinen earned it because of his battles with schumacher. keke was the first one in F1 to earn it kimi is rarely called that, he is more known as the iceman and bottas.. well he has to go some way to get it
Just the best. True to himself, we miss you Kimi !
god i love this guy

A legendary driving coach that 17 out of 22 current F1 drivers have visited (can't remember his name now) said that the most talented natural drivers and also the fastest have been Hamilton and Räikkönen. Hamilton was 2s slower than target time on first lap but matched it on second try and went faster on third. Kimi was slower at start. But he consistently improved lap after lap until he had beaten Hamiltons time.

I think the way to have a good interview with him is to ask long and precise questions that he can answer with short responses 😂
Kimi doesn't give a shit at all. I like him.
"I was taking a shit".... 🤣
The time when he fell of his boat drunk was hilarious
"steering wheel, steering wheel"
"Erm yeah but i can do China thurdays morning so to me it makes no difference" Something along the lines of that
Hamilton loves him, he cant ever stop laughing. What a guy kimi

This guy gives zero fucks and is liked for it 😂👍🏻
Kimi the god of f1
wow alonso kimi and vettel on the podium, when did I get so old and when did alonso stop aging?
Thats a real Racer!
He does come of somewhat rude, but his not, this is someone who doesnt care about societies norms of putting on some polite PC act so not to hurt anyones feelings. deep down if we were in those situations we would be thinking what he says but too scared to say it. Plus most f1 drivers were pretty honest in the old days, his just continuing the traditions :D

Anyways it's so interesting to see all the various similarities in kimi that ppl give me shit for because they don't understand how to come from their actual self and be true to/honor themselves. and im like WHAAT THO :')
hahah Vettel is pretty spot on
I like Kimi, he's funny and he doesn't give two sh**s about the media, but at 3:40 that's not being funny, that's being stupid.
