This scence hits harder than the todoroki theme

So many movies/shows/animes fuck this up: the fight between Midoriya and Todoroki is incredibly realistic, and the aftermath with Todoroki dealing with his feelings and the conflict within. Nobody gets over abuse and grudges with one fight and one speech -- it takes time, and costs important things. BNHA shows that *so incredibly well*. What an amazing character and what an amazing story!

Amaziah Aryeh Nah. I don't watch the dub. Everyone's voices are so spot-on in the original that i would be disgusted with myself if i saw the dub,Todoroki is a great example of that.

I prefer Midoryia's dailouge in the dub when he shouts "It's your quirk not his!" Which really hits home quick and better than the translated sub's line. I prefer the dub since i think they did really well. You can't tell me the english VA of Ochacko didnt do great during phone call with her dad.

Also for all might it is such a fun and hard call to decide who i prefer dub or sub. I prefer the english VO when he isnt using one for all or when he is giving serious advice in any form. But the JP's VO does knock it out when all might goes all happy and loud. Although that doesnt mean the english VO is bad at it.

anessone I think that everyone was greatly casted on the dub. The only problem that i have with the dub is Todoroki's voice, he sounds so much more deeper and more adult-like and that kinda seems strange for me considering that he has 16 years. Shouto's voice on the sub seems much more appropriate considering that he is 16. But even that it's me being picky.

I love how the studio went all out for MHA. From animation to soundtrack to the casting. Just damn near perfect. Shows what happens when people put CARE and LOVE to adaptations.

This are the words Todoroki needed to hear in order to evolve and get stronger. I think that Using it for Endeavour’s battle is an amazing symbol that he too is evolving becoming what he’s truly meant to be, both as a hero, and as a father 💯

Integrate the right. Use the left. Todoroki has mastered his right with his brain, but in his heart he is still very much conflicted, which is why using his left is so sloppy, and both in tandem are only at a fraction of his true potential.

The soundtrack that season 2 has put out is godlike. I went back to see where this plays and it really fits the moment when Todoroki is fighting Midoriya, they really should let the music have more chances to shine with less dialog though. This theme would work really well communicating emotions with just the song playing. (Edit) I can't believe they created a new pinnacle moment with this song at the end of season 4... brilliant use of the music.

Kay2Jay It really surprised me! I gives me major Sawano vibes at times while being it's own thing. It has a variety of epic pumped up songs and down right devastating to lighthearted and funny. It also has a lot of unconventional music which are always welcome!

Kay2Jay it's also very fitting for the stain fight. Gave a huge sense of desperation to it. Showed the huge difference is skill between the heroes and villain.

Thanks man. when this series started off i wasn't hooked immediately by season 1, but season 2....wow. best shonen in my opinion, has none of the stuff that ruins naruto, bleach, dbz, and one piece.

Yeah I agree I watched Naruto and Bleach when they were on, but My Hero Academia is much better. No bullshit fillers and all around great characters.

Istfg this song makes me cry. The desperation you can hear in the violin the determination you hear in the drums the sorrow you hear in the singing. I swear it just. I can’t even describe how it makes me feel. It fits so well with the entire family’s arc for me. I feel that endeavor was written so well. He was blinded by his own desires and then he finally sees the reality of what he’s done and - ugh it’s just done so well so far imo

Rei Todoroki is the woman singing in this song and you can't convince me otherwise.

When I woke up this morning, this theme was in my head the whole day, so clearly. and yet I just couldn't remember where it was from. I saw this in my recommended, a channel I didn't know about. Even though I was going to listen to a podcast, I just had a feeling to click,...and then this ...Funny thing is I hadn't watched My Hero Academia for months. I have no idea how the music got into my head so vividly in the first place. I don't know what to make of it all. But I know one thing...I feel sad for the people that haven't experienced anime...they don't even know what they're missing. So... ... I now decided to to convince as many people as I know to watch anime😉

I totally want this playing at my funeral. Just the perfect amount of melancholy.

Todoroki can fix even the vest of heart breaks. I listened to the planned soundtrack and cried and now I feel better. Todoroki is all the medicine I need to keep me living

funny, the engineium I once knew never had a look like that. todoroki has encapsuled my heart of all the characters on this show but I like a small handful of them so much it practically puts me in pain and todoroki is of that bunch

I forgot how much I loved Todoroki and then I listened to this and started balling my eyes out from the epic-ness of the music and the sadness of his past.

I will master Shoto Todoroki on Jump Force ....I finally chose my favorite character from the show and it's you Shoto ..... I would also add that I have high respect for endeavor the way he was having them flashbacks while fighting that bioengineered man kept saying to himself thinking about his son really hit me heavy in an unusual way like I can relate totally to Shoto ...my dad pushed me to be who the man I am today and I understand now, this show is outstanding 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯

God, he’s going to become one of the greatest hero’s of all time.

Not really, and even if it was it is bound to be reused at some point. I doubt that they are gonna compose 30+ new soundtracks for each season they make, but hey, I'm up for new and even cooler OSTs if they have the resources to record that many ;D

This show and Attack on Titan, both have the best music I’ve heard and the best emphasis on characters. It’s not just the 4-5 main characters that get fleshed out, and more anime’s need to follow that formula.
