I grew up with Jolene , we went to school and cheered together, she was one of the kindest girls you could ever hope to meet. She loved her babies and was so close with her mother, for her life to be ended by this creature is beyond horrifying. Jolene could see the snake underneath and that bitch couldn’t have that. All we can hope is that Jolene’s remains are found so her babies and mom can have closure. Thanks for reading this.

and yet it's someone's life you're laughing at. There does seem to be a disjuncture between the US sensibility and true crime profiles, as though the conduit of media is somehow a pallative for the horrors of mental illness and the crimes behind them. Personally, what is apparent is the fragmentary privatised health-care system, which itself has more multiple personalities that a character from a Shirley Jackson novel, allowing issues just to fester

I had a brother, with pretty severe mental problems, that went missing for six years. He was basically living in homeless shelters and self medicating. The only real choice is to assume he was dead and move on, while hoping he'll return but not counting on it. He did eventually return and we were able to get him some help, but it was never easy. Analyzing why some families don't spend every waking moment searching for adult family members that voluntarily go missing, is ridiculous. If everyone did that then every family with a person in this situation would drive themselves crazy in an endless quest to try and help someone that has chosen to deal with their mental problems in this way. It's possible to have empathy, and provide help if possible, while also realizing that destroying the entire families lives in order to help will end up helping no one.

She smeared feces on herself and threw it at guards while in jail. It's so obvious that she is mentally ill, it's disgusting to see how the guards "celebrated with a cake" about her being shipped to prison and mocking her, when they should be sending her to a mental health facility. We (Americans) refuse to invest in mental health care education or resources, then we are shocked when the chickens come home to roost.

Sometimes people are just evil. I'm sure she will be taken better care than any mentally ill person on the street while taxpayers pay for her room and board and meds. Oh and she gets to go to Federal Prison where she will live better than the mentally ill homeless and most poor people... the amenities they receive are beyond sickening. She killed someone... that could have been any of our family members. And she gets to live in federal prison.

it's true, mentally ill people can be manipulative, sometimes I think it's also hard to tell if they're doing it to hurt others or because it's all they know. sort of like how people who have been through trauma can perpetuate it if they don't know how to break the cycle. It's sad how much our society doesn't prioritize mental health.

I agree. I’ve noticed it with my mother/sister. I believe (with my family) it’s how their brain is trained due to their trauma (not them intentionally doing it to hurt others). My sister does it to draw people in for attention/love but she doesn’t realize it has the opposite effect because people realize she’s lying or adding to the truth. I’m like the only one that tries to look through it, stay strong on my word, and still be there for her until she gets help. But it’s very hard to tell at times. And it’s hurtful when you want to believe them but then realize they just played you. But they are your mother or sister or child so you can’t give up on them. At least I can’t.

A common reason for sociopaths/narcissist to change names, is to adopt a new name that has no negative history after tarnishing the old one. This was my experience with a sociopath I once knew at least. She'd remarry and use the new name until she tarnished it with a bunch of arrests. Then remarry to get a new name. She admitted to doing this even. So if Kessler changed her name so many times, I have to wonder what she's running from all those times she changed names? Has she murdered others?

I love Dr Grande’s particular brand of comedy…..Sharp facetiousness with a good helping of sarcasm and an enormous side salad of contemptuous ridicule, served stone cold in the middle of a sentence with no apparent break in composure or speech rhythm…how does he do it? It gives me the same sensation as when I bite into a refrigerated bar of high cocoa dark chocolate….Yummy

Hi Dr Grande, I was rewatching your video “ Menendez Brothers Murder Case “ today when this video popped up. I had forgotten many of the details especially the many ethics issues which you discussed so thoroughly. I also enjoyed that you covered how you met their psychologist even though you were a baby at the time❤️ . I highly recommend it to anyone out there who has not seen it. I love the pink shirt 👚 have to mention that as well.

This is happening in my home town that I have been born and raised in. There is less then 30,000 people in this town and its really messed with the local peoples minds. Jolene was my hair dresser and it's a shame that Kimberly is playing these games just postponing the trial 😒. I am still in shock over all this myself. I had just saw these 2 not even a week before this all went down.

How did she handle being a hair stylist?! I've been one for almost a decade now & I feel like I'm barely hanging on most days, without delusions! So many questions I have....did she go to school & take her state board test as Jennifer? If so, where is the real Jennifer? (You have to provide ID & social security card) If she didnt go to school & by happenstance found this persons state license, how did the owner of the salon not immediately pick up on that? We have our own language while working. The average person does not know what "lift to an 8 then gloss with 6t, 7p & clear" means. I'm so baffled! if you cant tell. lol.

I felt like that when my daughter left at 20 years old. I only saw her on birthdays and holidays for ten years, which was better than having her live here but never very relaxing for me. Unfortunately she eventually turned her anger on to her boyfriend until he couldn't deal with her anymore and brought her back to us. Now I'm trying to help her get into the system where she can hopefully find the help she needs. It's all very stressful for the time being but I have faith if I could just get her into the hands of the right people then she could be a functioning idiot just like the rest of the world. Right now my focus is on taking care of my own mental health otherwise I'll be in the psych ward alongside of her.

I simply cannot……I’ve taken 3 psychology courses while at 2 different universities and I still cannot understand the mind of someone who harms another person. Whether it is a sane person or one who has psychological problems, why do they do this? What is in it for them? I’ll never understand what goes on in the mind of a person like this. I stopped studying it, but now while watching your videos I’m back to trying to understand it again. You do phenomenal research on this subject.

I had a roommate like that once! High IQ, but 90% Paranoid Personality (by my amateur math), some bizarre behavior, likely disposed to aggression (I bowed out of conflict until the lease ended), and manipulative (until I stopped succumbing). Various meds, no solution. Be careful who you roommate with. People like that really are out there.
