I noticed that unlike Hollywood actors Korean actors hardly ever get proper media training, so most of the time they would only give “shallow” answers about their roles. But she knows very well what her roles are about and the deeper messages of her projects. Love alarm for example has been perceived as such a typical Korean drama love story, when it’s not just one but three different kind of love stories surrounding the main character Kim JoJo. It has so much potential to explain the complexity of love, and how each love is different. I respect her so much of an actress because I feel like she gives so much thought about the characters she’s playing.

I love this girl. Such a good role model for many girls out there. She is so beautiful and so talented. Rooting for Love Alarm and also your next drama Tale of Nokdu!

Sohyun is the reason why i start to watch K-drama. I still remember watching Missing You and adore her character so much. She is a great actress!

I think So Hyun is already a comfortable actress, she appears like an easy going person who enjoys very much what she does and lives like the girl next door. She has no aura of "elite" and "fake" some others can have although she is really famous. I do not doubt So Hyun will have a long career. 😊👍 (note I said nothing about her being such a cutie pie because anyone already knows that 😁❤️)

I've seen many of her dramas, but Missing you stands out! I can imagine that it is a wounded finger, that drama was so painful just to Watch. I can't imagine how it would be to act it out as well! Especially considering her age at that time, I am amazed at her acting!

I love Kim so hyun so much and I don’t rly know why tbh. I think one of the reasons is that although she is gorgeous she is not the stereotypical Korean beauty and I think it makes the roles she plays more realistic and relatable and I admire her more for getting so many central roles despite not fitting perfectly into the mold of beauty standards (again she is still beautiful just not in the typical way)

I agree with everything you said except the part where she's not the stereotypical Korean beauty. She literally fits Korean beauty standards (big eyes with double lids, small, high-bridged nose, small oval face, small chin, plump lips, light skin, slim body, long legs, etc.). Her beauty is always being compared to classic Korean goddesses such as Son Ye Jin and Han Ga In. She's often the youngest on Most beautiful Korean Actresses lists voted by Korean themselves. Her beauty is also highly praised by Korean celebs. Crayon Pop's former manager (forgot his name) even declared her as the most beautiful celeb he has ever seen.
