VOGUE Germany begleitet Kim Petras in New York, wie sie sich für die Met Gala 2023 bereit macht. Für die "Unholy"-Sängerin ist es bereits der zweite Besuch der Met Gala. Hier im Video spricht sie über ihre Erfahrungen beim legendären Fashion-Event, warum das diesjährige Met-Gala-Motto ihr so viel bedeutet und wie sehr Karl Lagerfeld ihr Verhältnis zu Mode beeinflusst hat.

Ive never heard her speak German before. I studied it for a year in high school. Great times filled with love. I loved exploring the foreign language. This was awesome. Thanks Vogue Germany

Don’t know what you’re talking about. IMO Kim speaks like a native English speaker albeit with a very tiny German accent.

It’s so weird I can’t read German but when people speak it I pretty much can understand the language. Is that common? I don’t know why but is almost like it has some English words in there that make it to where I understand the conversation. Now Swiss German I do not understand lol

Naja ich muss aus eigener Erfahrung sagen dass das direkt spontan gesprochene Wort anders ist als wenn man in Ruhe Zeit hat einen Song zu schreiben und Dinge noch mal zu korrigieren. Und man bedenke auch das sie inzwischen weniger Deutsch und mehr englisch im Alltag wohl spricht 😅
