Colineo Agreed. As a straight cis male ally, I have been saying forever that she probably would have been a lot bigger than she already is if she weren’t trans. She’s more talented than a lot of other pop artists I hear out there, from my perspective anyway, because I’m not really into pop too much. Her music, OTOH, is really catchy, and her voice is really nice. That final track “Shinin’” on her new 12-track collection was a revelation to me. I knew she could belt, but she found some new kind of level on that song, especially on the background vocals. 😊

I love that she isn’t ashamed to call her music pop music. A lot of pop artists deny that they’re pop stars, and try to label their music as something other than pop. (When it is pop obviously) Edit: lol no offense but I was literally thinking about Halsey when I wrote that... I don’t think Halsey is a bad person at all. It’s just kind of annoying since she has that same old indie girl voice that tons of girls use when they sing and think it’s unique. She always tries to say her music isn’t pop. I get what she means because some of her songs aren’t the traditional definition of pop music, but It’s on the Pop Channel. There’s nothing wrong with being a Popstar. Your right she may not be pops princess, but I definitely see a future cuz she’s being herself and people actually like her. I’ve been following her for a while and when you watch her videos the comments and likes are nothing like this. The video itself did kind of make her sound like a megafamous Star, I would say that was a little over the top. Reese Williams She spoke about how NO ONE ELE would work with her because she’s trans. Luke wasn’t getting work either because of the scandal so he basically had pity on her until she snapped and he realized how good she was. Kim was on hormones before puberty so never had a deep voice anyway and like I mentioned some cis men are naturally more masculine than others and when you’re not a physically masculine man transitioning will always be at an advantage for you. I've heard about her music and just figured out that she's transgender I didn't expect that and I think she has her own style, she can be proud! I like her! 👍🏽

I cant wait to see what's in store next, great things will be coming from this young lady who's proved herself as an artist to watch out for. When I first heard "I don't want it at all" I couldn't stop playing it. The song is a pop masterpiece. It wasn't until months after listening to her that I even realized Kim is a trans woman. Knowing this didn't change how I viewed her as a musician, performer, or public figure what so ever. I love her just as much now as I did before there was a face to the voice. Talent speaks for itself. Having a unique upbringing or showing the world that you've thrived in the face of adversity can certainty make a headline and help someone get their foot in the door. However, anyone who knows anything about the entertainment industry/show biz would understand that once you get your foot in the door, you have to WORK to keep yourself in that room.
