The use of lighting in this scene is actually so beautiful yet heartbreaking. When the lights were on, only then Haein realized that Hyunwoo is drenched in sweat, he literally cycled the entire village for hours looking and worried of her. This led her to open up her vulnerability to him 🥺 At the same time, only then he realized how dirty her clothes are & how her knee is bleeding. 😭♥️

One is trying hard to face everything by herself one trying to be with her but unable to as she is not allowing which made them grow apart but here when she finally said it. He realised what she meant for him all this time . He soon will realise how much he was covered with hatred that he forgot how much he loved her.

The fact is she hesitated to open up to him for a long time which made him think that she doesn't want him to be by her side and still uncomfortable, and because of that he was reluctant to take the approach not that she will not allow him, this is how a communication gap can leave a huge dent in a relationship, he is ready to embrace her, just she needs to express herself to him, after all he is her husband

I loved the moment when lights switched on. Until before, she didnt know how worried and anxious he was and he didnt know how confused and scared she was. The moment showed their true concerns to each other. And this moment will likely be a light in the journey of their relationship

I really love how KSH threw the bicycle... the mixed emotion of relief and anger. And KJW biting her inner lip forcing herself not to cry... because she was scared and finally found. I love this scene so much I replayed it a million times

The acting. The emotions. The eyes. The light! Brilliant idea! Their relationship turned dark those past years. Once the lights ON, she can see her husband in drenched trying to find her for hours. Thus she open up and shows the things that she doesn’t want people to see. Her vulnerable side. While the husband hear her finally heart to heart talk, the lights shine on her so that he can see that she struggles too. The husband can finally see that she’s hurt and need him the most. Their relationship nows have some light 🥺 and the long awaited hugs that they both need. 😢

Kim Soohyun mentioned in a recent interview that everything will unfold in Episode 5 and it has a huge plot twist. I BARELY SURVIVED THIS EPISODE ALONE, AND NOW I'M WORRIED FOR NEXT WEEK. WE STILL HAVE 12 MORE EPISODES TOO?!

At least twice a day, I need to rewatch this scene. First, to appreciate Kim Jiwon > Second, to rewatch this heartbreaking moment. I said it again, both Kims really compliment each other's acting.

This scene is absolutely incredible! From the captivating soundtrack to the profound emotions portrayed, and the stunning cinematography that ties it all together-every aspect is simply mesmerizing. I adore it immensely!

Gawd I freakin love this scene. Him throwing the bicycle and getting mad shows he's genuinely worried for her even though he's been trying to deny his true feelings... Her trying to act tough but then seeing the sweat when he turns around and that changing her heart to open up and be vulnerable... When they zoom in on her hand shaking a little - not just cuz she was scared but - also showing how opening up is hard for her but it's something she's fighting to do in that moment... I freakin love the soundtrack in this scene too ❤

The tears at 2:50 are heartbreaking, it's like it dawned on him that she's actually going to die, it's his first time seeing the effect of the disease and how bad it is. Even though we were led to think he was happy about her condition I don't think he was fully aware of it because it seemed so unreal with how unaffected she looked

I don't think that was the focus at the moment. Rather that she was trembling, and crying (I get the feeling he hates seeing her cry)... her distress causes him distress. I think that's the point of that scene.

Not to hate IU, rumor says she's been casted first to play Hong Hae-in, but otherwise right after the press conference of Queen of Tears, Kim Ji-won was the original plan to play Hong Hae-in according to the male director, but I cannot imagine IU to play Hong Hae-in, Kim Ji-won really DEVOURED THIS ROLE and SHE ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS. KIM JI WON slayed!

IU was first offered of the role but she politely declined. What the director meant was they were asked to do a list of their choices of the cast and he said his list matched the original cast. The writer was the one who decided on the casting.

Kim So Hyun had three short lines in this sequence yet his expressions convey so much. Absolutely outstanding actor and so happy for Kim Jo Won. She is a flawless, effortless actress.
