Look, I’ll admit it’s easy in theory, and she is clearly breezing through it and having a great time. I’m good, but I can’t do that, so appreciate the performance of a very talented woman who probably spent hundreds of hours getting that good. The part I like about being a musician is that you have front row seats to some of the most beautiful sounds you’re ever going to experience. Gordon Mote is trying so hard not to jump in and play some music.

That’s like typing a thousand words a minute with no errors! AWESOME!❤️

Kim makes it look so easy and effortless---she is an amazing woman of God and great talent!!! I wish I could’ve heard Anthony Burger and Kim Collingsworth play a duet together before he died. What an experience that would’ve been!

She is the best of the piano. I saw her playing live in a concert in Texas and it was simply amazing. The audience don't even blink their eyes to not to miss a movement of her fingers.

She is an amazing God filled spiritual woman! The joy flows from her! it's the spirit of the Lord !

I do not have the words to describe the pleasure and admiration I felt when watching and listening - wow, what a gift! I thank God for the technology that enables me to sit here in my house n South Africa a few thousand kilometres away, and enjoy this remarkable performance as if I am in the same room as Mrs Collingsworth!

Every time I watch you play, I am just spellbound. Knowing your story, makes it that much more fascinating. I don’t think I breathe till you finish. I didn’t discover you and your family till the Covid shutdown, but what a treasure. Your families singing is now 1 of my favorites.

When we swing and march into that kingdom, I will have to look for you Kim and thank you for accepting to serve HIM who created you.wooow!!!

She's great...no doubt about it. When Anthony Burger was alive he could give her a run for her money. What impresses me is that...or so I've heard....she's never taken piano lessons. Anthony did but you're absolutely right. With Anthony gone, she's the best there is! An absolute God given talent!

I had some marvellous teachers when i was a kid who really got me working hard at it. I was walking down the street one day and I saw the church had an “Open door” policy every day because Covidia, so I walked in and asked if I could sit at their keyboards for the afternoon, and they let me. Some really interesting things began to happen, you just have to jump in and ask, go at it and make some noise for the right reasons.

Playing like a favorite artist is a lot of fun. I play by note and ear and taught myself how to play complex music, on top of a few yrs of training, by some of my favorites growing up. Don't remember the CF in my repertoire at the time (80s and 90s) but I did spend hours and hours playing until I could play the song the same way usually by hearing it once or twice. I could see it in my head as I'm playing. I could mimic styles of certain pianists. My favorites were Anthony Burger, Roger Bennett, Jeff Stice, Gerald Wolfe (in his 20s back then ) and Floyd Cramer. I yearned to play like them until I could, in my own way, play their style. Kinda like people who can impersonate other people and their voices/behaviors. And it was recognizable to others who I was trying to play like. I lost myself in my music so many times that hours would go by without even noticing. It was just me, God and the piano. It was a source of peace and comfort, my therapy growing up. Thanks Mom & Dad And I very much admire Kim's skill and talent being self taught not unlike Tim Parton. But after all my years and hours upon hours of listening to and watching technique and listening to rhythm, timing and speed of the music, I've only heard one pianist out of all other pianists, secular or non secular, outplay most all of the best of and fastest drummers out there, Anthony Burger. They just could not keep up lol.
