would love to see some craft videos on these costumes, particularly the construction of the foam parts for the chest piece and arm greaves. really enjoy your videos by the way! love the structure and easy to follow how-to's. thanks for them!

Thanks, Mackenzie. I am working on a Trooper costume this weekend so a foam video is coming soon!

The kilt use and long coats really help to tie together another world/society as a common piece of clothing since many use them in this series

Some great stuff here. Love the versatility of skirts and kilts, especially in regard to sci-fi (and our fave genre, fantasy). Don't get to do much costuming on our animated stuff, but will definitely keep this in mind when I delve into live action. :)

Finding costume ideas in unexpected places is a skill that not everyone has. When it comes to that sort of thing, it takes me awhile to see the possibilities when it comes to costuming and props, and it's something that practice will help with...and videos like this that get us thinking in different ways. So cheers for that!

Hey Anthony, I recently started watching your channel, and have found a lot of the information useful! I would love to see you do a video on tackling how to make prop space ships or DIY space ships for practical effects in shoots. Maybe how to make it look realistic and delve into some techniques as how to hold your prop ship in suspension while filming? Just something I would love to see. Keep up the good work, Mike

Thanks Mike, I have thought about doing that, I have a basket of old models to kitbash into something to do just that. Probably as soon as I finish my short.

Thank you for showing simple but very creative ideas. I'm considering two going to Wasteland weekend and regular pants wouldn't do and I don't like wearing a kilt that anyone else is going to be wearing so I'm trying to do something original thanks to your ideas

Good insight. I'm doing a short film for a Uni assignment based around a soldier. I managed to buy a Ex service outfit fairly cheap. It's not the right nationality, but bought a flag patch to sew onto a sleeve and some dog tags. Should be able to sell the idea of a soldier with all that haha 😁

You are speaking my language! I've done that very thing many times before. You will get about .05% people trolling you that you can't do that but the other 99.95% will just see a solider.

I wish George Lucas did this with the Wookies! Giant nekked hairy warriors! A simple leather kilt could have done awesome!
