Killjoy Confetti - Neer Neer

From the album The Fun Is (2006)
Killjoy Confetti were an indie rock band from Muncie, United States.
This is described by some to be the "standout track" on this album, and I have to concede if any track on this album is single material, it's this one. Short but sweet, infectious and groovy.
Lyrics:
The rings of Saturn are wafer-thin
I don’t believe the world will ever end
Tanning is an untimely sin
But comfort exists in discipline
Oh! It’s too late for guitar playing
TV gets boring and there’s comfort in sleeping
I move to the rhythm of twos
The ocean’s alive with things that move
I move to the rhythm of twos
The ocean is alive with things that move
I like the smell of dirty hair
Freckles are divine when they appear
I have seen bodiless wings
Someday they’ll hang in my nursery
You bring me up and you bring me down
You bring me up and you bring me down
She gave up her faith for you, what more can I do?
These are the things I know for sure
These are the things I’m sure I know I know
These are the things I know for sure
These are the things I’m sure I know I know
I may not live the life I lead
I settle into habits with regular ease
You can love a pet before you love yourself
I can watch death without getting upset
Each picture makes me feel more alive
I’ll die of heart disease at 65
One of us will be left behind
One of us is always left behind
You bring me up and you bring me down
You bring me up and you bring me down
What do you write late at night?
What are the thoughts that make you cringe?
I don’t believe the world will ever end
The world won’t ever end that way
