Basically their Nissan Stadium performances of their Begin Again tour (2017) were extremely amazing, fresh out of the military. They had to do at least a 3hr concert in the rain singing their songs live and dancing on wet and moving stages.. kzread.info/dash/bejne/c6ak1sOCaMyvhKg.htmlsi=7UR3ZPHEZ8L61mdI

hi i would recommend their songs Tonight and Love in the Ice with 5 members. There are also three japanese singles that show off their vocals really well. Bolero, Heart Mind and Soul and Taxi. Oh, and also korean singles My Little Princess, Million men and Love after Love. Bascially id recommend some 5 member songs. I like Shim/Max and Yunho but my favourite memebers when they were 5 were Xiah Junsu and Hero Jaejoong and their vocals for me are just mmmh. Tonight, My Little Princess, Million men and Love after Love are your R&B tracks, while Love in the Ice, Heart mind and Soul, Bolero and Taxi are your power ballads

It makes me so ungodly happy to see the amount of people TVXQ is bringing into their fandom from this comeback - you included! TVXQ have 20 years in the game and they are still slaying, dropping banger after banger, and yet everyone seems to overlook them now. This comeback is FINALLY giving them the acknowledgment they deserve from the newer gen kpop fans. TVXQ are the idol of idols who built the foundation for current kpop and have proven that kpop groups dont have to disband after 7 years. Recommend listening to their Japanese tracks!!

TAEMIN with his group SHINee also a 2nd gen that debuted in 2008 / soloist (2014) / SUPERM (2019). *Regard to **#TVXQ**, I don’t remember if they were the 1st or 2nd group of 2nd-gen artists to debut in 2003; they hold being the Fathers of Kpop even now celebrated their 20th anniversary.*

Welcome to the fandom!!! Been a fan since 2008-09. They're not my first kpop group, but they're the ones who made me stay. They're my most consistent. 🤍 Always so happy to see a new fan, or basically kpop stans recently appreciating their epicness. ❤ Thank you for choosing to react to their Killing Voice. It really showcases their vocal skills. It's pretty well known that Max Changmin is a humongous force with his "Max" vocals, but I am really happy to see Uknow Yunho persistently improved his vocal style, and seeing people appreciate that. When they debuted, his role when they were 5 as an acapella-dance group was to take the bass role, besides being the lead dancer and center. So hearing/watching him showcase his vocal range really makes me proud. I hope you react to their latest releases and solo releases. 🤍

Fun fact: During the "Chance of Love" era they were guests on the show " The Return of Superman" (Changmin is now one of the hosts of the show). They were spending time with the twin girls, Seola and Sua and their little brother Sian. Yunho went out with Sian and on their way back Sian asked if Yunho would let him ride on his shoulders - they had had a fun time and decided to be friends! Yunho said "Sure!". Then Sian leans down and said "Thanks for letting me ride on your shoulder." to which Yunho says, "Hey, we're friends - that's what friends are for!" Meanwhile back with the twins - they sat Changmin down and told him "You're so pretty so we'll do this for you!" And they proceed to open up their toy makeup case and put lipstick, and blush on him and then put earrings and a tiara on him!! The look he gets from Yunho when he gets back!!! The episode was so cute!!

Not only is TVXQ an SM group, so amazing vocals are a given, but they were originally supposed to be an acapella group, so they are known for having superior harmonies and vocals. (In the early days, when they were a 5-member group, they actually had a lot of acapella performances that really showed off their vocal abilities.) Also, any of those songs that were released before 2010 were originally with all 5 members, so, for example, just wait until you see and hear "Purple Line" and "Love In The Ice" sang live with all 5 members in the song. :D They're "Rising Gods of the East" for a reason. Even after 20 years they are still continuing to break new ground and demonstrate why they are the leaders in the industry. TVXQ's "Down" is their pre-release MV and "Rebel" is their lead MV from their 9th full-length Korean album, 20&2 -- 20 years and still 2 members strong -- which is a celebration of their 20th anniversary on Dec. 26. "Rebel" was the whole reason why they were on Killing Voice in order to promote their comeback and their 20th anniversary. If you haven't yet, check out their 2023 MAMA performance where they showcased "Down" even before the MV was released. They also had an epic collaboration stage with SM's newest boy group RIIZE, where they performed TVXQ's iconic song "Rising Sun." "Rising Sun" is a classic and a lot of artist and groups have covered the song over the years. Plus, it's used in a lot of things, so it's no surprise you've probably heard it before. And it's one of those songs that defines who TVXQ are so, when you talk about them or they perform anywhere they usually play this song. "Rising Sun" came out in 2005 about a month before Super Junior debuted with their song "Twins (Knock Out)", the hard rock, grunge vibe was just the style of music that SM and the Kpop industry was playing around with back then. The whole song, MV and style was very on trend. Therefore, it has a sound and feel to it like a lot of songs that were released around this time. Actually, what you heard with that high note in "Mirotic" is how Changmin always sings that part of the song. it's just harder to tell that's him singing it in the MV, but that's really very similar to the original style. If you want to hear the full song of any of these songs all you have to do is look them up, they've been holding concerts for almost 20 years, so they have sang all these songs live multiple times. Just wait until you see the choreography for these songs, they can do all this while dancing and singing live. Changmin (the youngest member) was 15 and U-Know was 17 years old when they debuted. Therefore, although they are one of the senior Kpop groups, Changmin is only 35 and U-Know is 37. TVXQ is SM's most senior group that is still active, but U-Know and Changmin are still younger than, or the same age as, many of the members of the legendary groups who came after them within their generation. They are best friends with Super Junior and they pretty much all grew up together. Changmin is also best friends with Minho from SHINee. And Xiumin from EXO says Changmin was one of the reason why he auditioned for SM because he wanted to meet Changmin and become like him. As you heard, Changmin is known for his powerful high notes -- even more powerful than Onew or Jonghyun from SHINee or Chen and Baekhyun from EXO -- he literally has one of the widest note ranges of almost any Kpop artist. In a high note battle he always wins. It wouldn't be a TVXQ/Changmin song if we didn't get to hear at least one unbelievable high note from him. (Fun fact: Changmin got married in 2020 and he became a father to a boy last year.) U-Know is known for his dancing and his passion for dancing and singing. From day one, he has also been the rapper of the group. (He was the one who rapped in "Mirotic," and in all of TVXQ's songs, but because they are known for their vocals, you may not have noticed.) U-Know truly loves what he does and doesn't hide it. He will tell you he is proud of his accomplishments and he is proud of his work. His off-the-charts passion and intensity is kind of a running joke within the industry. It's one of the things he is most known for. The funny thing is personality-wise, Changmin and U-Know are complete opposites in almost every way. Changmin is quiet, calm and level headed and prefers to be alone; and U-Know is loud, high energy, intense and prefers to be with a group of people. Tohoshinki (TVXQ) are one of the most famous singers in Japan as well, even among Japanese artists. Over the years, I think they have probably spent more time promoting and touring in Japan than they have in Korea, so they are megastars in Japan. And like SHINee and BoA, etc., they are so popular in Japan that they are considered part of the mainstream music scene and they are fluent in Japanese. TVXQ has one of the biggest worldwide fan bases and they sell out some of the largest concert venues in the world. They are one of SM Entertainment's top selling groups, easily selling out concert tours around the world. TVXQ's fandom is Cassiopeia and their fan color is pearl red -- which is why you see one of the primary colors in most of TVXQ's MVs is red -- and when you attend a TVXQ concert you will see an ocean of red. Welcome to the Cassiopeia fandom. (Their fandom is named after the 5-starred constellation, Cassiopeia, because they originally were 5 members who were supposed to be gods who came from the stars.) If you like TVXQ then you are a Cassi. (In Japan their fans are called BigEast because Tohoshinki are Gods of the East and they have one of the largest fandoms.)

I REALLY liked the harder songs like Rebel and Down. I was so shocked at uknows playful personality, so youre right. I thought he would be more serious than changmin but Im happy to see that. I knew Changmin because of Minho Shinee (Im shawol) and I knew they used to be 5 but didnt know the back story or for how long etc. so Im glad you told me this information cause I dont know much. Looking forward to their new stuff!

@@macipiink Well then, here is some background to help you understand the dynamics of TVXQ better. TVXQ (English and Chinese)/DBSK (Korean)/ Tohoshinki (Japanese), which each are the abbreviations/acronyms of the words in each language that translates to mean "Rising Gods of the East," debuted in 2003 as a 5 member group. But, in 2010 three of their members left SM Entertainment and the group and formed a new group called JYJ -- the initials of the members: Junsu, Yoochun and Jaejoong. (Up until recently, JYJ was still a group and they still produced music, but because they left SM Entertainment -- one of the most powerful and influential companies in the industry -- on less than ideal terms, it has made it more difficult for them to promote themselves and their music. So the members of JYJ are more known as actors and producers than they are as singers now.) However, as you can see, Max/Changmin and U-Know/Yunho continued as TVXQ as a duo. They've been a duo for longer then they ever were a 5 member group.

For me at this point I’m not surprised on how high Changmin can sing. But what blows my mind is the absolute control over his voice surprises me every time he sings. I mean yes Changmin can sing high but unlike a lot of singers he can do a whole library of different types of high notes depending on the type of songs. And lower register vocal and softer voice are everything. Just pure bliss. He is able to control his voice like a piano doing anything he wants to and allows him to sing flawless for almost anytime of sonf genre. Changmin being able to sing in a higher register constituency and belting his high notes without his voice getting strained or horsed is mind blowing to me. And it’s a testament of all his hard work over the decades and the amazing vocal coaches to help him train the right way without destroying his voice. Personal very few people are at the level at Changmin voice control because it’s takes decades of practice to get to and there is really no short cuts to get to that level.
