This is the second part of killing rust with Corroseal. It is a lot of work but it will pay off the more prep work you put in. I think you will be very happy with your results.

Here is what I have learned using corroseal, when you put it on, do it in relatively small areas at a time, and plan to stay with it for awhile. For best results, needle scale, then lightly sand a preferably solid rust surface. Then coat with a heavy brushing of corroseal. The secret is to continue to re-coat the area several times with the goal to keep the corroseal wet for a long time. Do not let it dry between coats. The conversion takes longer than it takes for a coat to dry, so do not let it dry, keep brushing. If you let it dry, you will get rust areas under the surface that cannot be corrected, IE the treatment fails. Follow up the next day with a coating of CRC heavy duty corrosion protectant or Cosmoline.

That is my feeling exactly I put on 3 heavy coats and did them one after another. Never letting the previous one dry. The more prep someone does the better their results will be. And always top coat it and something like woolwax over that.

I bought the one gallon jug on Amazon for around $50. I used 3/4 if a gallon min a 2003 Hummer H2. I would think that would be equal to a half ton truck. No matter what you will have some left over. If you have a Dakota, Colorado size truck you could probably get away with w quarts if it comes out cheaper buying 2 quarts instead of the gallon. Make sure to top coat with a good rust preventive paint and possible use wool wax or fluid film. The more you do the better your results will be. I hope this helps.

Corroseal or woolwax? Sorry I've had some woolwax questions on my videos to. I watched a video of a guys in guessing a teenager trying to spray corroseal from a garden sprayer and a spray bottle his conclusion and mine is it is to wasteful to do. Once you have vehicle prepped as much rust removed as possible it will take about 20 minutes per coat to brush it on with a paint brush. 3 heavy coats of Corroseal seams to be the best to me.. Mine has been on for over a month granted it is summer now but no rust peaking out. Use a good flat black rust stop type paint about 2 cans for $10 will coat an entire truck frame about 3 coats. Like others have suggested if you really want to keep the rust off forever then go over it with fluid film or wool wax. Spraying it everywhere you can imagine except for the exhaust and engine. From what i have seen an air compressor works best for flood film and wool wax because they are so thick. I hope this helps.
