I loved it. To me it reflected the whole show. I just couldn't see it ending any other way really. I am happy we got a glimpse of how they truly felt for each other.

what happened in episode 8 should've happened in episode 5, except villanelle doesn't get shot in the water, eve helps her out of the water, she survives, then in episode 6 they find out carolyn sent the hit out on them so they go kill carolyn, and then episode 7 pam helps them fake their death, and episode 8 they're in some far away place and villanelle is getting a linguistics degree and eve is working and they have a nice little apartment

THIS. THIS. THIS. THIS would have been perfect. Anything but the real ending. Ruined the whole show. Villanelle had spent an ENTIRE life of misery and manipulation (dumped at orphanage by her own mother, apparently a cruel orphanage, as she is immediately recruited as a Russian assassin upon release, gets sent to prison for that shortly, is helped to escape by an even more evil organization to be, yes, an assassin). She is 30-ish and has never had friends and doesn't even know or understand the concept of love. She FINALLY finds that with Eve (it took time - from "You're mine" in Season 2 to the end of Season 4), but she is in LOVE and truly HAPPY for the first time ever. They didn't have to continue the series or make a movie or anything like that, just give the poor girl a chance at a real and happy life by letting her live and continue to grow as a human being.

The ending has me so gutted, like they could have at least both died so they would be together in the end ☹️ it was such a good show so sad it’s over

These two were such a joy to watch for 4 yrs. I wish that I could shake off the the image of Villanelle sinking in a cloud of blood in the river. Of all of the "bury your gays" endings to WLW relationships that I've seen, this one has cut clear thru the bone & into the marrow. 😭😭😭😭😭

acabei de ver essa obra prima Agra aqui no Brasil pela netiflix, pois eles lançarão este mês. não estou romantizando Vilanelle, pois ela matava sem dor nem piedade, até seu próprio anjo da guarda, ou seja: sua consciência. Kkk, se tinha uma verdade nela era seu amor por Eve.

I Will always love These to... Gonna miss the series, loved it, a masterpiece, but the ending is hard to watch. Villanelle and eve in our hearts for ever!

Bless you. Apparently 3 seasons is the magic number for this type of cat and mouse tale. 4 is very tricky, but you fixed it. Hannibal ended at 3 on literal cliffhanger, which left it up to viewers to decide continuation. 1st season is meet cute, 2nd is awkward 1st date, then 3rd season is road trip.

I got chills from this. Thank you. The ending we all deserved.

Thank you for this. This brought back all the San Junipero feels and punched me in the gut so hard with Villaneve on top of it all. This is so perfect and will be my happy place from now on.

(spoiler) It doesn't stay true to the plot. She's almost died how many times? She deserves to live! Killing off the main character is overdone like GOT. It doesn't tug at the heart strings it just makes us pissed. I don't care how realistic it'd be it's a show! Super disappointed. You should read the book though. They should have stayed true to the book ending!

it's even simpler it ends in the hug and that's it the chapter lasts about 41 or 42 minutes and it's perfect but then i remember the series the 100, person of interest, buffy, xena and most recently and without dying supegirl and dr hannibal lecter and clarisse starling they stick together in the books but not in the movies.

@@lizraquelzeledon525 Otra razón que tiene es que querían hacer algo diferente pasó lo mismo con los libros de Tomás Harris el libro de Hannibal y la película es lo mismo que pasó aquí se quedan juntos después de muchos problemas y como dirá Hannibal Eve era la repuesta a la a la adivinanza de Sanzon tú eres la miel en la boca del león para Villanelle. Matar personajes es común desde el 2000 es una nueva forma de contar historias y no estaría mal una muerte justificada es correcta si es bien llevada y también es que jamás darán gusto a todos. Ejemplo he visto que se quejan tanto como en Game of Throns y solo lo puedo relacionar con la muerte de Dainerys pero esa muerte tiene lógica en libros y la serie ella era la reina de ceniza y se había convertido en lo que no quería ser muerte entendible no bien aceptada pero con lógica y sustentada en los libros. Otra serie Big Bang Theory al final Penny está embarazada y muchos mencionan que fue en contra del personaje pero así es la vida puedes no quererlos o planeamos sin duda , pero al quedar embarazada ella podía elegir como lo hizo Leonard al elegir no tener hijos pero tener a Penny. Otros ejemplos tenemos más series del ámbito Queer como mencionan person of interest Root y Shaw, primero se da por muerta a Shaw y después que es rescatada y unos capítulos más Root muere protegiendo y sacrificándose está referencia es muy semejante a Killing Eve por qué se parece en todo su desarrollo se odian se protegen se preocupan y todos saben que se quieren y nadie dice que este mal. Pero en mi opinión no debió morir la directora ya salió a justificarse en que pensaron todos los posible finales y no vieron uno juntas yo digo acaso leiste los libros en especial el tercero die for me

I don't care if it is normal, but I'm grieving as if Villanelle was a real flesh and bone person. Perhaps I'm crying because they ruined one of the best shows I've ever watched with a "bury your gay trope" we did not deserve.

It's a show about serial killers and mutual obsession, I was always kinda expecting a sad ending, so that's not exactly why I'm sad. I'm sad because they ruined a good show way before the anticlimactic finale. For the entirety of season 4 the show made no sense, and in then Villanelle's death came out of nowhere. 3 good seasons and then this... Why? What were they even trying to do?

Better ending. Wish the whole season was like this episode. Showing their love. Although if it was the ending would have been 100% more gutrenching.

This takes me back to Bea on Wentworth. With everything Villanelle had done I knew she wouldn't get a happy ending. No matter how bad we wanted her to. But it's always nice to create our own endings lol.

New writer really didn't understand these characters at all. Jodie and Sandra did the best they could with a bad script, mad props to them

I'm not a viewer of this series but I used to keep an eye on the show and I definitely liked the couple....so when I came to know the pathetic ending I was literally heartbroken..... I can't explain how much pain it caused to me.... Dickinson finale caused me the same pain but it was less as compared to this because that show was based on reality so there was nothing much to do! But this one is a fiction and the writers screwed it up.... It is better if Eve is dead too but we can't be sured about it, at least I'm not. Anyways thanks for your effort to make an alternate ending. Life seems always better in alternate universe!

There's nothing poetic or remotely satisfying about that, it was just for shock value.

I know she'll probably never say in public, but I really do wonder how Phoebe Waller-Bridge feels about the trajectory the show took and its ending. Because if somebody did to a show that I created what Heathcote and Neal did to S3 & S4...I'd be livid 😑
