Comparative religion is just an excuse. A person who is already inclined(in fact, rooted) in a particular religion shouldn’t be expected to compare religions unbiasedly. Only an atheist should be trusted to have a comparative religion’s true information.

No, I mean, go check I'm sure you didn't know but not all comparative religion scholars happen to find the evidence to conclude that Islam is the best among religions. Btw, I find many flaws in his reasoning that you call logical; I can even point them out one by one if you want, but it's not about that. I just wish that comparative religion becomes the field that brings all religions together- creating mutual understanding among religions, respecting views of other religions even if you don't follow that religion. Zakir sir, unfortunately, uses his pathos of comparative religion scholar to tell other people why their religion is hateful, illogical, improper, incomplete, etc. Comparative religion should be about sincere study of different religions so that we can understand each other better and appreciate our positive sides.

@@99parshvashah38 I can understand your point however if in Jainism, which sounds like a beautiful religion, you only eat fruits, wouldn’t you be suffering from malnutrition. No fruits I know of contain high levels of Protein or Vitamin B12. As a result I assume you also eat nuts. If this is the case in relation to your statement plants create fruits for “seed dispersal”, wouldn’t you be unable to eat nuts as they are seeds. Wouldn’t this therefore be akin to someone eating a chicken egg or an animals embryo. Though it does not feel pain when it is consumed it is a potential life that is being destroyed. As a result wouldn’t this be banned for you based on your statement with only fruits being allowed, providing you pick the seeds out of the fruit and plant them so they can grow. I have no digressions with you but if you would only be allowed to eat fruits from that point you would most likely develop malnutrition and suffer from fatal anorexia. I assume yet again therefore that you don’t just eat fruits in which case can I ask what is now the difference between plants and animals. In addition plants produce fruit with no “feelings” but cows make milk with no “feelings” so what’s the difference in that. Thank you for reading and all the best

All vegetarians he has had the opportunity to see in His Private Islamic Hospital had suffered severe illness due to lack of 8 essential amino acids found only in flesh of animals in the vegetarian's body. But the problem is that he thinks His Private Islamic Research Centre has collected info from all over the world but honestly, factual evidence show that vegetarians live quite a healthy life in general; in fact, in general, better lives than non-vegetarians.

I'm a Muslim and I've recently cut down on my meat consumption due to the reasons you mentioned (Kurzgesgat video, anyone?). However, I think the point of contention is the fact that Islam doesn't "prohibit" the eating of animals, that's all. If you want to choose to have a veg diet, so be it. But, implementing the prohibition rule forcefully could prove to be detrimental for a population.

I'm a Muslim, as sentimentally I'm drinking Cow's milk after I taken milk from my mother when I was baby. Cow is like my mother and I'm a pure vegetarian for past 20 years..

You can't live by eating rocks, sands, and dirt. You need to take it from living beings, either you create artificial meat or artificial plants to eat. Because your body can't create nutrition like plants do and what you need is more complex than plants that photosynthesis

1. Debatable - i had vegetarian food that tasted much better than meat and also ate meat that tasted better than certain vegetarian food - both diets can be just as good tasting. 2. Debatable - there are many other factors than just whether or not you are eating meat. You can eat healthy with or without meat. Also i would add - if you live in a large city then most of your meat comes from a factory farm - which is terrible as far as ethics and environment goes.

But that's not enough. If, for example, we believe in our minds to smoke because we like it, it doesn't make it good for consumption. Or if we decide to have sex with someone other than our lawfully-wedded spouse because we find them to be attractive, it doesn't mean that we should commit to having sex with them. In short, not everything we conceive in our minds is morally definitive.

First time I hear a proper answer to the question. It is no doubt that Zakir has read a lot of books, has a good memory to bring about reference, analyzes in detail and tries to provide an honest answer. Answer to this question is a good example for his sharp intellect and throughly (360 degree) analyzed and well formed answer. Though I do NOT respect his broader views and unconscious/ignorant promotion of extremism in the name of belief, I acknowledge with Muslims that he is trying to be a good human being per his understanding of Islam. At the same time he has evolved into a person who would not have any guilt or second thought to commit any kind of henious act as long as he believes that he is executing it per his belief. This is the trait many serial killers or extremist have. You would know that they will have their own logic to justify their acts and try to prove that society and others are wrong. I am sorry to have compared Zakir to killers to make my point. I am just using strong analogy to provoke thoughts. I am glad he mentioned that Muslims need not eat meat or non-veg to be a good Muslims. But in today's world most animals are raised just to kill. I don't think they are killing just enough to compensate the necessary amino acids that humans seems to need. In fact most Muslims and other non-vegetarians are addicted to taste and texture of meat. There is very little compassion in the meat industry and in the minds of meat lovers. IMO Zakir ignorantly and unconsciously supporting killing of animals unnecessarily for luxury and addiction. But if he is willing to learn even a bit from Hinduism he would advocate for rationing meat intake to Muslims and also speak more about being compassionate towards domestic animals.

@@nishatiwary7313 The Almighty took a test of Ibrahim (A.S) by telling him to sacrifice his son and The Almighty showed mercy upon him by replacing His son by a Dumba(an eatable animal).Since them we sacrifice animals(cows or goats or camels) in honour of the sacrificing spirit of Ibrahim(A.S).It's not the flesh or blood that reaches Allah but it is our Taqwa(fear of Allah ) or Niyat(intention) that reaches The Almighty.

What a nice explanation for stupids. He doesn't have an idea about different between plants and animals. Both are living beings but animal have a soul, mind and thoughts. Human is different from other animals with having higher intellectual properties.You have a right to eat what ever you want but Necessary or unnecessary you don't have a rights to kill other animals intentionally because they have their own lives and they don't like to be hunted or hurting. According to this man's theory fx-loins don't have any sin because it eats only meat (as a creation) and if lion come to kill you, you don't worry because you have been created to be hunted by lion in food chain. 😀lol. Sacrificing of animals is good for blood sucking monsters not for Gods. I have never seen such a sharp human teeth at least to kill a rat as doing a cat , and no-one died because of being a vegetarian. This man misuses science to mislead innocent people. Try to give some freedom for your higher centres of your brain and use your intellectual power as a free man.

Its a great arguments for people with faith... That is why he gives out different chapters of verse from different books of faith, but a very weak point on the side of people who did'nt believe in god... But he is a very great and wise person

Genesis 1.29-30 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. tYou shall have them for food. 30 And uto every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” Thou should not kill means not killing of any living entity. Every living entity have a soul, the soul is eternal, eating dead meat has no value for spiritual proces. Let say a mother cow has a calf, and the calf drinks the milk of the mother just like we drink our mothers milk, now when the calf become big he does not need the milk and they kill the mother cow... do we also kill our mother when we dont need her anymore. By killing the animals we degrade the whole planet and the earth will react according the rules and regulations thats why we have so much nature problems like a hurrican or any dissaster

First in Christianity its permitted to eat meat. Second, stop comparing humans and animals. Humans are intelligent beings while animals are unintelligent creatures. And actually it's proven that meat and animal products have taken great roll of the human survival in early generations. Animals have life but they serve greater purpose in the human life.
