All her life Emma has faced everything alone. So many people in her life had given her false hope and empty promises, which ultimately led to her being let down in the end. Just when she fully believed that her life would forever be a vicious cycle of betrayal, deception, and abandonment, Killian Jones comes into her life to change all of that.
Killian shows up for her every time. He reminds her that she shouldn’t have to face anything in life alone and that she no longer has to. If she’s at the edge of a portal, at the brink of traveling to an unknown realm, he’s right behind her ready to go in after her. If they’re forced apart into two different realms, he will give up every important possession in his life just to get back to her, because she’s the absolute most important part of his life and he wants her to know how deeply she matters to him.
Who would have thought that of all people, a “selfish pirate” would be the one to show Emma Swan that she is indeed loved and cared for, and that someone can put her first before themselves? That it doesn’t have to be “Me against the world” anymore, but “Us against the world…. Together”.
Now that she does have someone that she can count on to always be by her side, she needs him to know just how important he is to her. She needs him to know how much his presence and support matters to her, how much his honesty awakens her through the toughest times, how much his love for her makes her finally feel wanted and important, and how much pain she would be in if she ever lost him, because she can’t lose him.

I love how you really show all the pain Emma has suffered all the loss she has had and how Killian is always there for her when she needs it always fighting for her.
