I believe the health bar mechanics can be compared to FNF: Vs EX (or the Tabi mod). In “Genocide,” the health bar is capped at 150% of it’s normal max (which might not apply here), and any time Tabi hits a note, he reduces your health the same amount here. Only difference between mods vs. EX and HoloFunk: you don’t start at 100%/150% like in “Genocide” (as a side note, “Genocide” is named “Song #3” in Funky Friday: an FNF fan game in Roblox where you can play songs in FNF mods and the actual FNF game in multiplayer. 1v1 style (not an ad.))

I can’t listen to this the same way after today...

I've gotta give real props to the composition work here. 2:50 in particular picks up from that breakdown by immediately giving you the impression that Rushia is charging up her final attack, with the player responding in kind, taking advantage of FNF's call-and-response nature to create an anime-esque tug of war, before eventually culminating in Rushia's iconic death metal scream. The fact that you have to play insanely well during this final section _just to survive the scream_ even enhances the effect.

This hits differently today and now I’m vary sad and depressed.

@@ZaFah695 Long story short, Rushia post-Hololive threw shade in the direction of Aloe post-Hololive and was super obvious about it by Japanese language conventions. The ex-succubus, not wanting potential rumors about herself to fester and hurt her in the long run, reached out to the former necromancer, who wagged her finger and claimed that the aspiring musician was caught in some sus audio that she now owns thanks to a drama KZreadr friend. The graduated girl asked to hear the audio to refute or dismiss it upfront, but the terminated traitor refused to divulge it and went full “trust me bro, talk with my lawyer or GTFO”. So Aloe commissioned a legal firm and had one of their lawyers represent her to Rushia’s lawyer… only for the nebulous nekomancer to turn tail and ghost her at every turn. To clear the air, Aloe put out her story on her Pixiv Fanbox and washed her hands of the situation followed by Rushia responding on her own Pixiv Fanbox. FalseEyeD did an episode of Things VTubers say about this incident, which also tells you about both girls’ current identities if you’d like to follow them into their current ventures.

If this mods is updated in the future, I think it would be good if the "Ghost In A Flower" song was released as a FNF version for Rushia.....🦋

Funnily enough, I originally wasn’t even aware that this song has a pretty INSANE health drain mechanic because I had the health bar turned off in my playthrough. It was pretty surprising seeing it in Gegcoin’s video.

God this song is so deceptively hard. First time through, it's a damn difficult chart, but super fun to play. Then you realize your health is being drained. _A lot._ This song forces you to master its chart to survive Rushia's killer screams and I love that. It really feels like a tense showdown because you legitimately don't know if you did well enough until the final note.
