Cant wait to see it against sigma 30mm 1.4 though it is way cheaper at 300 usd Ok after watching i feel sigma wins

Thanks for a great, thorough review as always Richard. Viltrox are killing it for the Fuji system right now…I have the 75 1.2 and love it! It’s great to see them not just providing alternatives to Fuji lenses but offering something different. The only disadvantage is the size but I’d love to see them apply the same quality to some smaller f1.8 or f2 primes as well…

I don't think they should diversify a lot. They should focus on making pro lenses at a much cheaper price they are literally not just an alternative to fuji but also the cheaper sigma primes by being in the middle of both. Their old prime lenses were so old and so slow in af compared to sigma primes..

Looks terrific!! I doubt I'll be running out to replace my Kamlan 28mm, due to price and size concerns, but the new Viltrox is clearly a phenomenal optic. Imagine where they'll be five years from now...

Absolutely great for low light!

For my fujifilm XH2 and XT5 I have a few lenses from Fujifilm and Viltrox, I just got the 27 F1.2 so I have not had a chance to use it yet,but I was recently at a wedding in the Finger Lakes region of NEW YORK STATE and I used the 13mm F1.4 and the 75mm f1.2, both worked really well, I found that the sweet spot for the 75mm was F1.4, many photos from this lens had better clarity and sharpness while photographing people, it gave me a touch more DOF while giving background separation in low light situations.

Great test man. This is exactly what I was hoping to see in your review because I have the XH2 also. Good lens but It just doesn't seem to measure up to the performance of the 75mm though.

Greeting! Could you please make a video comparing the Viltrox 27mm 1.2 and the Sigma 23mm 1.4 for video recording? Or tell me which one is better for Fuji X-t 4. I'm a videographer and I'm not sure which of these two lenses to buy for video recording. Similar focal length, but I prefer the bokeh on the Viltrox. It seems to me that both lenses have a problem with autofocus for video and with focus breathing. Can the new firmware fix this problem? Thank you!

I like how you caught swan pooping. Other than that, I really like the lens performance. I have 75mm 1.2 and it's the best lens for the money you can get. Happy to order this one when they release it.

I hope the soft focus at highest apertures are just a firmware problem. Otherwise this lens will not do very good compared to other lenses with same focal length. Their 13mm and 75mm is way so good that this lens has a lot of things to catch up.

Nicely done. Looks a great lens, but perhaps not ideal for the X-pro line as it'll block much of the OVF!

@@cyano3d of course you can, but it removes a key feature of the X-pro line. Not everyone is a big user of the OVF of course.

lets hope 13mm gets a pro upgrade and 1.2

Canon Sony Nikon fuji is wondering how he can Rob photographer pocket and Viltrox certain that he is doing a favor to the photography community with the best quality lenses at a very reasonable price. Love u Viltrox

The Viltrox 23 1.4 is cheaper, lighter und smaller… and the picture-Quality is nearly the same. Viltrox make good lenses

You' re using the exact same photos for the testing of both the "Viltrox AF 27mm f/1 2 XF Pro Review & the Viltrox AF 75mm f/1.2 XF Fuji!!! What's going on here???

Have you used this new lens before? If not, how can you really accurately judge that this is not as good as the 13 and 75 by watching a youtube video? Besides, 13, 27 and 75 are all different focal lengths. And, this video is just one person’s view.

Corner sharpness? If people are looking at the corners of your photos, then your photos are not that interesting to begin with.
