"What're ya gonna do with those PIES, boys?" Fun Fact: The giant "King Klown" from the ending sequence, affectionately called "Klownzilla" by the Chiodo Brothers, was actually played by one of them (Charles Chiodo). Budget Friendly Fact: The $2 Million budget went primarily on production costs. The clowns and visual effects were created almost entirely by the filmmakers at very little cost. The Klowns parts were detachable, thus creating an illusion of a large number of different Klowns. Stunt SNAFU Fact: The scene in which a car is thrown over a cliff was initially intended to be far more spectacular - the car was to fly over the cliff and crash down to the ground. Unfortunately, the sling rope snapped because the effects crew members neglected to remove the stoppers from underneath the car's wheels. The result was what is seen in the final film, the car slowly tumbles over the edge and becomes caught on a tree.

When Halloween's Spooky Season comes up, I'd recommend watching Ernest Scared Stupid. It's a Halloween horror comedy classic. It stars one of my favorite actors, Jim Varney, and I watch it pretty much immediately as October starts. It's a must see movie every Halloween for me. Also, it has a connection to Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The creature effects for Ernest Scared Stupid were done by the Chiodo Brothers. The Chiodo Brothers were also the guys who wrote, directed and produced Killer Klowns from Outer Space as well as doing the practical effects and makeup. Some of the effects from Killer Klowns are actually repurposed for Ernest Scared Stupid. I think it'd make for a great and fun reaction. Perfect for the Halloween season.

When IT came out my friend and I were talking about how it freaked us out, but was also kind of cool at the same time. So my friend's dad was like "You guys want to see a REAL Clown movie?" and showed us this. We were both 9 years old. So I saw IT and this in the same week. Scarred for life for sure.

I remember when I was a kid Stephen King's IT was shown on TV (the version with Tim Curry as Pennywise), which like many of us back then scarred me for life. So my friend's Dad was like "You guys want to see a REAL Clown movie?" and showed us this, because he thought it would be funny to scare the Hell out of us. So I saw IT and Killer Klowns in the same week. Guaranteeing I'll be afraid of Clowns for the rest of my life. However, that all said, this is in a 3-way tie for my all time favorite Horror movie along with Nightmare On Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors and Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn, for the same reason I love the other two, because it's completely batshit crazy with zero chill. I'm also completely stoked for a Horror Convention I'm attending later this year where the guys who played the main Killer Klowns along with most of the main cast will be there. I can't wait!

Hell yeah make out point was a real thing, in the early 2000’s we had a top of hill spot called Squaw Peak people would drive up to to “make out” and every summer I’d go with my best friend to a small farm town and the girls we’d meet always took us up to a spot they’d call mirror lake (they’d tell ya to lay down on your back and look at the city lights below and it looked like the sky(the city lights) and the actual sky and stars looked like a lake reflecting it stars , then some how they’d always end up ontop “to look at the stars”, small town girls were sneaky lol it’s why we went back every summer lol

I'd always kind of assumed it was aliens came to earth, came across a circus, and in order to disguise themselves dressed up as clowns. I was not prepared to find out they came down with a ship and gear already circus themed. Thank you bothfor this reaction. I'll now have at least an understanding of the film since its one of those that was on my not for me list.
