@@LITTLE1994 To be fair, there are some killer modern game soundtracks. The Elder Scrolls games come to mind. And so does Uncharted. And Halo. Still, Killer Instinct's OST remains one of my personal favourites. Back in the 90s we were simply not worthy for it.

SOR 2 and SOR 3 is up there for me.

This is peak 90s. Sounds like it came straight out of a Donkey Kong Country OST, but just a fighting game. Rare did so much dope shit back then! Brings me back! LE LE LETS DO IT NOW

The Funky Kong theme was originally intended as a Killer Instinct track. It was used during the E3 show where DKC was featured and Nintendo liked it so much that it got included with DKC soundtrack.

Your face when you realize the SELECT SCREEN MUSIC for this game is better than many games whole soundtracks

Chief Thunder's stage always gives me chills. Kinda reminds me of something Sepultura would've done. Tribal-war drums, the chugging guitar riff, the chanting... dope.

Both Saberwolf and Chief Thunder's stages have amazing music.

Rare had such great ambience sounds in the background of their songs 🎵 💯

The Credits Theme Alone Gave Anyone The Satisfaction And Victory Of Defeating Eyedol, It Also Is How You Done A Good Job At Beating The Whole Entire Game.

This intro is so nostalgic, reminds me of so many 90s martial arts films as well as this epic game

Killer! Ya ya ya! Uh baby 🔥 Orchids theme has always been my fav. A very early techno track ahead of its time as well.

Truly excellent soundtrack that absolutely perfectly represented what the 1980s and early 1990s were all about. This would have been perfectly included in movies such as Rocky IV, Top Gun, Bloodsport, and similar movies.

There was never a better Soundtrack for a fighting Game and Presentation

I'll never forget the first time I heard the main theme song blaring from the arcade cabinet at the bowling alley in the small town I lived in. It ALWAYS gives me goosebumps

The genius of the music in my opinion was the change in melody and sometimes tempo towards the end of a fight. An amazing touch for the game in my opinion.

I'm going to play Chicago rooftop theme on repeat whenever I drive through the city of Chicago

One big component of KI's succes back in the day? It was LOUDER than Street Fighter! KIIIIING COMBO!!! struck a gold nugget withg that one.

Never hearing the ost outside of the snes, the gym song just blew me away.

I love Jago's theme, Chicago's rooftop, castle rooftop, industrial warehouse, and the credits theme.

Every KI1 and Ki2 arcade cabinet always had the damn sound blasting at max volume lmao I remember always recognizing that a KI machine was in the building cuz it would echo throughout the building or the shopping mall lmao

One of my favorite fighting games ever. Being familiar with the SNES game and tracks, it's great to hear the original arcade version in clear quality! My favorites are Cinder, Spinal, and especially Fulgore and Eyedol's tracks. Killer Instinct was one of the rare darker Nintendo games, co-made with Rareware during the 16-bit era. I miss the '90s. Funny the SNES version was only rated T when it clearly has blood.

Well, different incidents within the film and video game industry changed the ratings or like in films, it caused the creation of ratings for them.

You're welcome. I've been dreaming of the movie adaptation for Killer Instinct since I was a child but the TV Series would work even better with each episodes having backstories for each characters, like the Killer Instinct (2013). For instance, I'm thinking Hisako would have a great episode to tell her story for Season 2. I'm waiting patiently to hear the news that we're gonna get a Live-Action or Anime Adaptation of Killer Instinct. That's like one of my childhood dream just waiting to happen and hopefully it'll be truly faithful to the game and to be done justice.

I would love to see a film of this or as you said a series? Being 40 years of age still wouldn't stop me from wanting to see it. I have very fond memories of this game and of course the soundtrack.

Classic game and ost

I had the Killer Cuts CD when I bought the SNES KI bundle. Loved it, thrashed it. but they werent quite what you hear at the arcade, Jago and Spinals tune especially. Was though very satisfied with Trailblazer!!

I had the cd back then when I got the game then let a friend borrowed it then ruined it. I’m glad to get to hear it again

@@martyy90 lol!! Tis funny you should say that. I'm not a fan of tekken and i didn't play much of any of the games in the series. However I'm extremely familiar with the tekken 3 ost, and some of tekken 5 and dark resurrection's music. In fact they're the only tekken soundtracks im familiar with. Ive listened to all the tekken soundtracks and its probably safe to say you're right; 3 and 5 just might be the best of all of them. When compared to KI i dont know which I prefer though, but they're all very great soundtracks.

Is it just me or did anyone else ONLY like the loop from 46:05 in the arcades? Like, If I could get that loop playing for like 3 minutes, I'd be good.

I thought I was the only person who loved this part of the arcade theme! I swear, I would literally stick my ear next to the game speaker whenever this attract mode loop played and no one was around the machine. Fifteen minutes of pure Bliss!
