It wasn't Street Fighter II, neither Mortal Kombat. It was Killer Instinct what hooked me up when i was a kid. The combos feel very different than the other games, and that makes them so satisfying to connect them.

OMG i remember i was 8 years old when i played this game! My favorite Characters were Combo and Jago i remember my 1st ultra with jago! I was mashing all the buttons, this game made my childhood.

@@fabriciogurgel5362o Ultra só é feito quando estiver no meio de um combo com a barra do adversário no vermelho... Cada personagem tem um comando específico para que você possa fazer o Ultra...... Se fizer o comando sem esses requisitos, não funciona

I remember my father’s magazines where they put the combos in some pages so u can play i had a machine once and this game was truly a masterpiece

All the ultras are cool to me but my favorite is Cinders. The dude turns invisible in the middle of his ultra and he looks cool throwing those punches n kicks.

These combos were beyond it’s time

Back in the 90s the only reason I bought SNES was for KI. That was the only game I owned until many many years later I moved to Japan. I ended up buying one of the Street Fighter versions and also Mortal Kombat which were for the Super Famicon. The SNES was the US version of the Super Famicon. When I bought those gamesI had to modify the plastic shell on the cartridge so they would fit into my SNES and they played perfectly.

Hello Mr. Castro I have been playing this Killer Instinct for many years but I cant seem to do the regular 49 hit Ultra with Orchid, I've downloaded this video and looked over that specific ultra more than I can count and followed everything in sequence. At the start of it after the medium jaguar and trip, I get the back flip to connect but not the light punch linker. Am I doing something wrong?

Never got play it in an arcade. But I remember the first night me and a friend went to his uncle house and he had this new game for super Nintendo he wanted show us. Il never forget when he showed us the box it came in and when he pulled out that black cartridge. This was the start of great child hood years to come.

Killer instinct is a "really" good looking snes game aside from how awesome the arcade versiom is. It's a good port right??. About the best you could get out of 16bit consoles.

You should see how good this game looked "before" they decided to cut half of the animations out and make the character sprites smaller to save cart space on the final release. Look up the 1995 promo for this game and you will see an unreleased version of SNES Killer Instinct with all of the arcade animations intact.

@@sebastiann.8088 I'm just baffled that they didn't do the same thing and make it for the N64, it didn't have to be perfect, but they could have still done it even with cutting corners. Back then I just absolutely loved the sound from Ultraaa Combooo. Unfortunately it turned out that ki2 was an easier game to port to the N64.

It’s a fucken box..you blow on a cartridge and stick it in the slot. Then you get the second controller for being a dumbass and the first controller just lays dormant. You will never live to see another game of this stature.
