Same. I play Night Lords and ordered a half Scorpion/Half Banshee team.

I love my Vet Guard. People always underestimate the regular trooper ancillary until you give them overcharged lasguns with rerolling 1’s and GA2.

Since you're never going to go through all the compendium teams it would be nice to to leave the icons for them out of the list alltogether from the video. The image we're looking at is cluttered as hell and it would help a bit.

As a Kroot player who loves them despite them being the red-headed step-child of Kill Team, I have been thinking about the Kroot issue for a while. I wonder if maybe adding a new model to the lineup might not help. Make it either a Kroot Hound Packleader, basically a Kroot Hound with plus 1 or 2 wounds, maybe one more attack dice with the special ability to Howl, a 1 AP ability or even a tac op that allows both of the other two Kroot hounds to go after it. It would be the only army in the game that can have a triple activation in opposition to the rule against it. This allows the Kroot team to have something that no other team can do. It would also enhance that ability to mob a single target or sweep away a couple of others or just grab items and bail a little easier. Rather than taking away the GA 2 tricks wholesale it makes them situational instead. Likewise adding the body of the Kroot pack leader gives the team a little more presence on the field. Thoughts? Or, I don’t know, give the Kroot some kind of grenadier. It’s one of the only teams without a krak equivalent.

Also, I feel like void dancers are still upgraded blades of khaine. 4++ instead of 4+ saves, 5 attacks in melee, both have lots of tricks (blades of khaine edges ahead here admittedly). Both are in a bad place right now but at least void dancers have a couple AP weapons for elite matchups. I feel like BoK should be right below VD on your list. Pretty good tier list tho! 👍🏼

If DAs got P1 then suddenly BOK would be far ahead of VD in current state though... and suspect *something* will happen to DAs next round of balance (probably)

One of the best tier lists you guys have done. I liked how you talked a bit more about many of the teams.

I really like the Kroot thematically and was playing them for a bit but even when I felt like I was playing well (I’m not a good player) I couldn’t win. Their specialists aren’t good in comparison to other teams and their team ability really doesn’t seem significant enough. I almost think they need like a buff on nearly every operative.

How do you take multiple sledgehammers when it is a * equipment?

For Kommandos, limited equipment can be selected twice, not just once.

Read the asterisk/plus (*/+) under Kommando Equipment. For Kommandos, it’s listed as a 2x pick, not 1x.

Why can a guard activation allow the use of the same action twice in one turn? Market light is an action called market light why does it matter if you shot or over watched?

This Saturday (18th of may) I actually placed third in my local store‘s Kill team Tournament and I played the scout squad! They’re usually pretty low tier, maybe I was just lucky.

Hahaha it’s meta tier list day for my favs!

A couple of things: 1. I think there was a bit of talking past each other with the flip belt. Others teams don't drop for free, except for less than 2" drops. Not that I think it mattered hugely for the discussion, but I don't think dropping in general should be free for Flip Belts. I guess at minimum Flip Belt use should be optional, so it doesn't cost 2" the few times you do need to drop less than that. 2. Probably just a misspeak, but Cutthroat specifically can *only* attack the same target, and not separate targets. This is of course still a silly limitation compared to other such operatives. 3. Assuming "sisters" refers to novitiates, MW is NOT a good tool here - Novitiates can straight up ignore 1MW per Faith Point, with no limit on use, so counting on that is dangerous to say the least. 4... I think Hearthkyn is vastly underrated on this list, but stuff like that is always going to vary on area. Thanks for the video!

You’re right on 1 and 2-I misspoke regarding 2. Attacking two separate is much better. As for 1, no clue where Ryan got that from or how I missed that! Regarding MW vs novitiates, I think it’s actually more than fine if Novis want to drop 1-3 FP every single time they get charged to prevent getting 1 shot in a combat where they are absolutely probably dying anyway. They are going to run dry really fast. -Shane

Void dancers got nerfed because of Bheta decima and that sucks since no one play this terrain. They never won a tournament and yet they took a bullet. big mistake

Why does no one ever rank compendium teams?

I think that HotA is stronger that you say - I agree that their action economy sucks, and loot and ItD are a problem, but From Darknees, Death combined with Blade Artists leads to insane damage - enough to overpower Hierotek reanimation for example

Hot take summer.

Blades of Khaine biggest issue is vs elites. They need some AP, I’ve had multiple instances of the shooting doing 0 damage over and over.

Elites don’t have any more save dice than other teams do. So, I don’t see how Elite teams have any baked in “elite team only” secret sauce against ranged. That said, they’re called the *Blades* of Khaine for a reason. Played a 3way game tonight with a couple buddies (Hierotek vs Blades vs Kasrkin). Blades got tabled TP4 but they won the game by 2VP. It’s ok for teams to not be good at everything. That’s called balance.

@@trickshaw Elite team only secret sauce… 3+ saves maybe? (Yes I realize Hearthkyn do too but they have less wounds and less melee) Lol, plus most of them have other defensive bonuses like fnp, less crit damage, etc. Between only having 4 dice in melee and shooting and situational re-rolls, it can be very easy to get yourself killed in melee too. I don’t want blades to be broken but I’ve played into elites quite a bit and it’s an uphill battle. One of the only teams without AP is rough, the couple other teams that don’t have massive number of models and shooting attacks with 5+ dice on some models, which would also be ok. Maybe give the dire avengers 5 dice instead of 4 could be an answer. Either way, until they have a chance into elites, they’ll be a C grade team.

What was the nerfs to the Vet guard?

I haven't watched the video yet, but these guys usually do a lot of analysis. If you think analysis is just padding, I really don't know what to tell you. But I find it valuable and thorough.
