I’ve finally been able to sit down and watch this after hiking in the desert when this went live! I really enjoyed this one, it’s good to see the Tempestus Scions star in a battle report! Good on ya for being able to make the game so close in the end. I’ve been there: realizing the set up of the terrain wasn’t great followed by the dice gods conspiring against you can really affect your play and you did great given the circumstances! The new graphics were great, definitely felt the jump in production value and I’m already looking forward to the next one.

Welcome back from the dessert and congratulations on surviving! I was glad to finally get the scions out there. A really fun faction to play and you can definitely see how good they can be!

hell yea, I still really enjoy seeing compendium teams on channels. There's something about the simplicity thats just very refreshing.

They are a very different type of head space and I am here for it. Some teams have so many rules, synergies and things to remember that instead of you doing amazing.....you forget everything and do nothing 🤣

This kind of report is very nice to watch. Loved the special effects.

Loved the style of your battle report - the birds eye view play-by-play has taught me a lot and I appreciated how you explained each choice and why. Additionally - loved the team choices. Most of my friends and I play compendium team in a real casual way as we are just using our existing 40Karmies to make up kill teams. Cheers for the awesomeness

Interesting report! I’ve heard Scions still pop up in the competitive meta, so it was interesting to see them play. Space Wolves are my favorite marine chapter as well, not that I’m playing favorites or anything!

The scions have some great tools and balance! They lack a few of those real special synergies but in the hands of a good player (not me 🤣) they can be awesome.

I play scouts all the time . With the shot guns and snipers. So fun. Thanks for bringing them to my attention

Loving these reports and it's nice to hear the thoughts on these teams. They do both seem to still have play. The Scouts can go back to the 90s or so as far as I'm concerned but the Scion models really do seem current enough to be worth a White Dwarf release.

I wanted an excuse to paint them in a unique way and they were some of the first units I painted after getting back into the hobby. I have a soft spot for them!

i played compendium tau (6x pulse rifle, 6x pulse blaster) vs. compendium marines. it was over before it started... 3 apl vs. 2 apl and no tricks was badddd.

Yeah, compendium has some good balance in it, but a few match ups can be horrendous!

Scions are the most elite thing that can still be considered humans IMO

I did get it, it was a bit slow getting to me, but it got here. I am currently working on my Phobos as part of the Phobos kitbash challenge (my next vid will be about this) then it's time to get them on the table.

btw, regimental standard is not worthy then?

I don't mind it and in hindsight it may have helped me out with the "Plant the standard" to keep those guys locked into one of the objectives! I ended up going for the grenades to help counter the shotguns.
