    Animal Kingdom, in my mind, is the best Disney Park. Just amazing on so many levels.

    Giraffes only sleep 30 minutes because they need to avoid predators. So, nature has evolved them to not need that much sleep. They also only drink about once every 3 days. They also give birth standing and walking. This is one of my favorite rides in Animal Kingdom! Thank you for the video!

    The best time to get on this ride is when it’s raining. The animals are awake and usually extremely active. I went when it was raining and the elephants were playing in the mud. The lions were also awake and actually playing with each other.

    For the crocodile pit, if a guest falls into it, the driver has to speed up and leave them there because of how quickly the crocodiles react, they're goners. Gotta speed up so the guests don't see the carnage.

    I just learned that those drivers are trained to drive away QUICKLY if someone decides to jump or fall into the croc pit off the bridge. Because they know that person is dead the minute it happens....😳

    Wow, I'm from South Africa and I have been on multiple safari drives and I love to see how Disney does it. We dont find animals that easily nor are they THAT 'tame' or 'want to be seen' lol. Hope Disney visitors appreciate this beautiful well planned natural zoo were you are guaranteed to see amazing species in one go were we again need multiple long early trips just to see 5 species, mostly common species! And yeez the people are noisey in the vehicle lol. Here we are quiet on these trips, its considered rude to be noisey and you can scare away animals. (Just some random facts on true game drives, again BRAVO Disney!)

    Yes, the poacher stuff (Big Red) was determined to be too intense for people who just came to the theme park to have fun. They took it out to make the ride more enjoyable and less distressing.

    9:10 thats actually not true, elephants have hearts that can weigh 27-46 pounds as opposed to the giraffe's 25. and they dont have as large of a heart to body mass ratio as a spotted hyena or african painted hound (which both have hearts that make up a little over 1% of their body weight, whereas the average giraffe is 2600 pounds which means its about 0.95% of their body weight as opposed to about 1.1% for hte aformentioned animals) so idk where he got that statistic from

    Wouldn't it be great if zoologists could teach animals, like big cats, to do special tricks, such as in a school similar to Oxford, Cambridge, and University of St. Andrews? Wouldn't it be great if they could be taught tricks similar to those shown at the Siegfried and Roy, P.T. Barnum and Sons, and Ringling Brothers shows?

  • @zaftigo5495

    @zaftigo5495

    3 жыл бұрын

    It'd be great if we didn't have to use inhumane tactics to capture and teach animals to do those tricks. Many old carnivals and shows were incredibly inhumane and would keep animals in poor living standards with inadequate diets and treatment. The claws and teeth of lions would often have to be removed for the safety of guests. Can't we just leave animals as they are and respect them? This is not our planet. We must learn to share it and protect it.

    It's purely chance based. You can't force a wild animal to show up every day for work. The most important thing is that we respect the animals and their space.
