Kielder Forest is beautiful but there's something you should know...
Visiting Kielder Water & Forest Park. We camp a few nights in Kielder Forest, Englands largest man-made Forest close to Kielder Water and Kielder Village. Kielder Forest camping is a great way to experience Kielder Forest and Kielder Water and where we stayed was a great facility offering top notch Northumberland Camping. Kielder Forest is located in Northumberland which is a County in the North of England. This is one of our favourite parts of the UK because theirs so many things to do in Northumberland.
If you are thinking of camping in Kielder in Summer then there is something you need to know and we'll tell you about this in the video.
In this video we'll show you the Kielder Village Camping and Caravan Site plus a look around what Kielder has to offer including Kielder Castle and the Kielder Anglers Arms. Joined by our dogs, Dug and Jeff.

Hi. Great vid! 👍We camped there a few year's ago and yes got eaten alive at dusk! 😬 we hid in the tent & played games till the blighters went home! Didnt mind this though as the night sky stargazing more than made up for it - being a dark sky zone I've never in my life seen so many stars - beautiful and we lay outside for hours just looking. 🌟

Thank you! It is a beautiful place. We found having a fan in the tent really handy as it kept them from flying in when we opened and closed the door. Still got a few coming in though! We saw some great stars but we’ll have to go back.

That doesn’t seem to work as well with the new formula unfortunately. We use Smidge.

It is impossible to get lost in a maze. Just put one or other of your hands on one wall or other and keep walking forward. In due course you'll end up outside.

Been fishing there many times. yep you get eaten alive at times but no worse than Scotland.remember its a commercial forest so the midges come with the trees.only thing that used to bug me.pardon the pun.was the roads.miles of minor roads just to get there.
