This kid... telling the executioner right in the face that he thinks that it is not a good thing. I respect him for being this honest in this situation. You can see that he doesn t feel very comfortable. But he still goes for it. For a kid this age I think this was very brave!

This amazing man died of Covid-19 on April 13th, 2020. Jerry Givens devoted the latter part of his life to abolishing the death penalty, often calling politicians just days before an execution. We owe it Mr. Givens to carry his torch, to share his love with the world. RIP Jerry Givens 1959-2020

One could have easily killed the other without knowing she was innocent. And that lady, in an interview with the two of them, would have gotten the chance to look at death in the eye and show him that there ARE innocent people that get killed by the death penalty system.

HiHo: Kids meet a ballerina! Also HiHo: Kid’s meet someone who had to put people to death for a living! All jokes aside though, I think it’s actually good to introduce kids to heavy topics in an easy, non-scary way, instead of learning about it on places like the news or the internet, where it’s described much more harshly.

Death is a way out indeed. Prison for life, but in a small cage all alone with 1 hour of daylight per day. This would be 1000 times worse than death

This was really powerful. This made me realize that the people who reinforce the death penalty are practically murders too. It is hard to think and accept that the world is not all sunshine and rainbows. I personally think the death penalty is wrong because it is still taking someone’s life even if they did something wrong. I support prison for life if you do something that awful. Going back to my first point, even if you execute an awful person than it is still killing someone. Let them stick around to suffer. Death is the easy way out.
