It’s not cute, it’s teaching kids to be the parent. Like yeah sharing is nice but if the parent fails to provide enough snacks for their kid and them, it’s _their_ job to go without. Not to stealth guilt trip the kid to make them share.

So my best friend has a daughter and when she was a baby, everyone in our friend group was convinced they wanted kids after playing with her, but the mom constantly had to remind everyone that she’s had to bleach the tub once cause her daughter had diarrhea in it. The only person she hasn’t been able to talk out of wanting kids is me. I say all the mess, all the tantrums, it’s all worth it. At the end of the day, I love kids, I understand that so many things like messes and tantrums are out of their control, and I to raise a human that is empathetic and has all the values I wish I was raised with instead of having to learn them as an adult, like acceptance of minorities and emotional regulation.

Letting the little girl board the plane herself was actually really smart because when she gets older she will have no problem doing things like that. I flew by myself for the first time at 17 and boarding was so scary because my dad had always done everything for me in the past. Thank god I had flown so much in my childhood and I’m adaptive to new situations because otherwise my panic disorder would have definitely taken over.

That's a very mature decision for you to make. Im proud of you for recognizing this about yourself before trying to have one. And you know, if you never have one, even when you have yourself all the way together, that is okay too. Babies don't stay babies for very long. It's not a baby you are solely responsible for. It's an entire person. Do what is best for you.
