The O'Keefe is a Chicagoland school. being from there, we just knew of them. The notion of professional-quality production behind amateur kids was a stroke of genius. Kala (singer) Had been killing it since she was eight ("Chain of Fools") The Bassist is giving a pick-riding clinic. The drummer flat-out mind-blowing for his age AND the kit he is using!

O'Keefe is actually in Lebanon, Ohio..a suburb of Cincinnati.

@@kevinstenger9758 I certainly know of Lebanon, OH. But so many of their videos and music are shot and recorded in Chicago. Could it be there are two or more? Either different O'Keefes (we have many in Chicago as well) or the same O'Keefe, different locations? I Know Kala has toured at festivals in Chicagoland and the Milwaukee area...perhaps Cincinnati also?

@@stevensorrell1625 As far as I know, their base is Lebanon. I checked their website, and it only mentions their Lebanon address. As you said, campuses are probably all around. Their kids are from all over. I know they record in Tennessee, but didn't know about Chicago! That's awesome! It's a great program no matter where they're from!

Kala is from Cincy, as well as the bass player (I think) from the 46 & 2 video. She plays in Cincinnati a lot too. Glad she's getting gigs all around.

The sober cover is one year later..6 years ago..she is 18 or 19 now
I just want to say thank you for showing respect to these kids. All but you and one other talked over the whole video. All they did was nitpick them apart instead of recognizing the talent it took to do a Tool song.

The singer and a few other members of this school created a band called saving escape..they also covered as noted in the comments sober but also have a version of the pot
Maynard knows them, Down was recording when they were recording a Pantera video, Silpknot and everybody have links on their website. The drummer is the one who suggested tool and this video that kid is awesome and a young man now

Kala Rose was 11 here....she does amazing at 15 on “Sober”, then at 18 does a phenomenal job with black label society’s “crazy horse!”

You should listen to "Crazy Horse",same singer at 18. " Sober" is also Kayla Rose on vocals. Amazing kids
My other two favorite songs that they covered was sober by tool as well as cosmic Love by Florence and the machine.

Kala has her own band now and they are amazing. I've watched this video many times and, at the time, I think she sounded a lot like Lacey Sturm from Flyleaf.
The OMF kids play so many different genres, you really need to check them out.
She still has a little girls voice here but she grew up to be quite a singer in her group Saving Escape
The most exciting thing about this cover is that these kids have absolutely no idea what they sing about. I think its really interesting, because they dont know what they do, but they do it really well. In fact they aren't even close to the original. Its just very very different.

They cover Danzig's left hand black too..you have to check that one out..drummer is a frickin rock star..and aiden Fisher is on lead guitar. That kid is amazing.

@@KristinKali pretty amazing kids..I can't gripe too much about my kid though. No drugs, doesn't smoke, graduated and in college, and he is a top notch mechanic with great taste in vehicles.

One of my all time favorite videos. I had never heard of Tool until I accidentally discovered this performance from 2010. I've watched it at least 20 times and have added it to a playlist on my smart phone to listen in the car. Last time I checked,it had about 23 million views. It's better than Tool doing it. There are 2 other covers they do which are great as well,Sober by Tool and Pull Me Under by Dream Theater. Check out the other performances by the School of Rock kids. Some of them are so talented!
