It was a great scene and I loved the expression on Severides face. I think he was completely taken back with her attitude and how strongly she worded her comments to him. When he says “ I’m not hiding anything from you” was so surprising that somehow she thought he was doing this behind her back. Obviously something Grant her former husband probably did, henceforth her comment to Severide in the last episode, we both have so much baggage from our past. I wouldn’t be surprised if trust is one of her issues.

Well she’s going to need to fix her trust issues. She’s got no business getting married if she can’t trust her partner. The sad thing is is that Stella acknowledged she knew Gallo was taking squad classes, her problem was she assumed Kelly was only helping once.

@bautistalover I think she's eventually gonna learn how to fix her trust issues even if it takes time. It's never easy to open yourself to trusting someone after all the emotional and physical abuse she's gone through in her 6 disastrous years of being married to Grant and that's on top of whatever crap Stella had to go through growing up as an orphan. For all we know, she probably was screwed badly by life when she was growing up and it didn't help her ex-husband screwed her so badly, it made her not want to get married again until she met and fell madly in love with Kelly and he proposed. I think a part of Stella is probably terrified of the what ifs coz if you think about it, opening herself up is pretty much equivalent to being vulnerable and she's probably terrified of that due to her experiences.

@@johnty7951 I agree with you. I think it’s all about trust. I think that this whole episode with a Gallo will make her believe that she can’t trust Kelly. And that she feels he’s trying to undermine her leadership and her crew. Kelly felt it when he said I’m not hiding anything from you, but I believe she does think that’s exactly what he’s doing since her comment to Hermann was “he’s trying to lure Gallo away”. She wasn’t interested in hearing he’s explanation about this conversation about gallo and squad happened started when Casey was in charge of 81. Her trust issues will let her believe that Kelly is just like everyone else in her life. I hope in this next episode she talks to Kelly and he can convince her that he is not Grant or anyone else who betrayed her and that she can trust her heart to him. That’s why in my opinion they would never have Kelly cheat on her. It would permanently destroy their relationship and Stella would never attempt to trust anyone again.

@Gail Firenze Stella is basically Fire's version of PD's Hailey in a sense in that both women are equally messed up due to their traumatic childhood experiences. Both women probably have been emotionally and physically abused that it's enough for them to end up with trust issues and maybe it's why they seem guarded and have put up this facade of being confident, independent and strong but they're not coz they really are insecure and full of anxiety and have a mindset of "i'm not good enough". It wouldn't surprise me if both are basically terrified of opening up to their partners because for so long, they probably don't have a good experience of what it means to have a proper, solid, stable and loving relationship.

A leader that doesn't want the best for their team members is not a good leader.

The last scene was something else when he said “you always get your way”. I hope they talk next episode. Stella did listen to Kelly when he was telling her how he got on squad and she tells him that she told Gallos that’s it’s ok for him to follow his dreams even if it meant leaving truck and that it was his choice to stay.

Yes unfortunately Kelly doesn’t know that and he thinks he told her the story about Grissom and she didn’t care. I’m sure he felt disrespected, communications has always been this couples issues. I’m sure they will work it out since the wedding is around the corner.

But yes communicate is their issue, when they both feel cornered or things are in their control they tend to shut down because they have been on their own. Granted they both have been in relationships prior but something would always happen where they need to have their guard up.

@@malishaguerrier yes I think a major issue for them is trust. They have both been burnt in that department, from Kelly’s first fiancé cheating on him to Grant’s abusive behavior. Even though I think that they know each other is their soulmate, they are afraid to trust completely in the other. It makes you vulnerable and that’s a scary thing when you’ve been betrayed by someone whom you believed loved you and would always take care of you. But since their communication skills have gotten so much better than it use to be I’m sure that it will be a tough discussion but they will have to work through. Just like Kelly said in the last episode “I’m all in”. And that’s what they both have to commit to in order for this marriage to happen. They both deserve the peace and happiness that committing to each other will bring to both of them. Their characters deserve it.

I personally believe that Gallo is an elite firefighter, and has squad written all over him from the very beginning of his stint at Firehouse 51. This was inevitable, I think it was Gallos natural progression and therefore it should not be an issue between the 2 lieutenants. But it has become an issue, however I believe it’s just another opportunity for Stellaride to evolve. The 2 will come out the other side, no worries.

Ever since she made Lieutenant, she feels everyone else is below her. I liked her when she was a regular person on squad. Why can't she just see the Severide is just helping Gallo. I thought they were a family that helps each other. Not competing who has the best firefighters on their truck. This series better change for the better or I might just give up watching.

Stella hasn't been an officer for long so she is just finding her footing. After Severide told her about Grissom did, hiding his acceptance letter to squad, and how it ruined their relationship she backed off. She told Gallo that if squad was what he really wanted then she would support him.

I hope will see old characters come back for stellaride wedding like Emily Foster, Jason Pelham, Jimmy, Peter mills, and more

From what I gathered from an article I read that they knew 3 months ago that Jesse would be returning and had pages of people they were going to try to bring back for the wedding, but another article they made it seem that they weren’t able to get many if any. I hope they are just trying to surprise us and there will be people we are dying to see comeback for the Stellaride wedding.

@@nanieroma yes he’s the one who I really would love to see at the wedding. Whenever anyone says what character they would like to see come back to Fire he always seems to be at the top of the list. Foster as well would be great to see too. We’ll just have to wait and see IF anyone from the past makes an appearance. Got my 🤞 that we will see someone from the past not just Casey.

@@bhd7721 I just meant when I said Casey I was speaking of former cast members. Of course I want to see Brett, she’s my favorite badass paramedic. Not sure what’s going to happen to her and Casey but I think she deserves a much better storyline. It’s been a waste of her talents to have her constantly talking about missing Casey, wanting to see Casey etc. in my opinion it was a bad decision to get her and Casey together when they knew Jesse Spenser was leaving the show. Most of us wanted to see them together because they deserved to be happy but getting them together was a joke. Derek Haas said it’s okay since we live with FaceTime, airplanes and they can keep it up for 3 yrs. It might have been possible if we were hearing him talk to her or FaceTime from time to time but that was not the case. Seriously she is supposed to keep this up for 3 yrs😳. I think they hoped that he would change his mind and come back to the series and they could pick up where they left off but it seems his decision to leave the series at this point is permanent. So Brett needs to get back and be the Brett we know and love and not this whiny, crying I miss Casey mode.

at this rate i wouldnt be surprised if Severide ditches his own wedding im getting tired of Stella liked her in the earlier seasons but now shes causing drama like Gabby :P

They are still there. In the episode, Severide asked Boden if it would be possible to add a 5th member and surprisingly, Boden tells Severide this has come up in discussion during the HQ meeting. So if Severide wanted to add one member, Boden would have supported that and pushed the idea.

Stellaride is close to becoming exponentially exhausting with their relationship stuff and now professional drama. Stella was not wrong but it is all about the delivery. Also, Kelly seemed dissatisfied with Stella when he told her "she always gets her way". It will be a miracle if they make it down the aisle at this rate.🙄😄

I mean she kinda was wrong. She knew Gallo was studying for squad and she knew Kelly was helping him. I think the problem is that at the time she didn’t care because 81 wasn’t her truck and she was headed to another house. Now that she’s running 81 all the information she knew she’s forgotten. Kelly wasn’t poaching Gallo this was the path Gallo was always on.

@bautistalover While her overreaction was kinda wrong in a way, she has a point though. She just had inherited her team from Casey and Pelham and they just had Mason join them and being quite new and raw in her position, she's still adjusting to having command of her team and then Gallo suddenly has interests of joining squad. She was upset at the whole situation and also coz she felt she got blindsided coz she thought Kelly training Gallo was just a one-time thing only so he can join the class he wanted to take but Gallo loved it so much, he kept asking Kelly to train him. I believe the problem was that Gallo didn't communicate properly to Stella about his intention to wanting to join squad. I mean if he actually just told her something like "hey lieutenant, i've been having aspirations of wanting to join squad and i've been training under Severide for a while now, I was wondering if i can get your input on this since you just got a team from Casey and Pelham and i don't mean to blindside you." then the whole thing wouldn't have been blown out of proportion. Also partly to blame for that is Stella's own insecurity causing her overreaction to the situation which is considered natural coz she's just inherited T81 and is still adjusting to the role as an officer.

@@johnty7951 that’s my point, Gallo didn’t suddenly have an interest in squad. His training started when Pelham was in charge and Stella knew that. The literal timeline doesn’t support your theory. I really think she knew and just didn’t care at the time because it didn’t affect her. It only became an issue for her because she took command of truck 81. I will agree with you on one point Gallo should’ve told her sooner about his squad plans. She took out her agitation on the wrong person. Kelly did nothing to deserve that. She owes him a huge apology.

B762 Your going to have to get over it because Brett is coming back but Casey isn't coming back full time because Jesse Spencer has already said he's not anytime soon it's only a 1 episode comeback. And honestly you're completely wrong about Stella & Kelly having no chemistry at all because they actually do have some really good chemistry even though I'm not always a fan of Stella's I'll be the first to admit it ! But honestly if you don't like Stella & Kelly as a couple or like much about the series than quit watching it no one's telling you that you have to ! But you need to get over the fact that Casey isn't coming back anytime soon full time because he's not so you can wish all you want but it's not happening anytime soon!

Well Stella is right she's in charge now. She decides. It was hard but I think necessary.

No she doesn't decide. It is Gallo's decision. He doesn't need her permission to go out for squad. He can pursue whatever path for his career that he wants and he doesn't have to stop just bc she's I'm charge of truck now

@AJ McKinney Her point was that she just inherited her team from Casey and Pelham and she hasn't been lieutenant for that long, so she's still adjusting to having her own team esp with Mason having recently joined them and suddenly, Gallo intends to join squad without notifying Stella. That's what upset her coz she felt she was blindsided by Gallo stating he wants to move to squad and it didn't help when she found out that Kelly has been secretly training him coz she thought it was just for a one-time thing only. This was all on Gallo for not being able to properly communicate his intentions to join squad to his officer but it's also on Stella for overreacting to the situation. She didn't handle it right initially.

@@johnty7951 all that is good and fine but it's not on gallo to change his plans, plans that he had long before she was even considered for 81, to make things easier for her as truck lt. Severide wasn't doing anything secretly and if she were paying attention, even in the short time she's been truck lt, it wouldn't be a surprise to her that gallo wants to join squad bc he's been interested in that for a long time. Gallo doesn't have to notify Stella but he did, out of courtesy, tell her his intention to go out for squad but he doesn't need her approval or permission to get help/extra training. Stella was out of line to tell Severide to back off. That was completely about her and what would be easiest for her as far as her team and nothing to do with gallo and what he wants for his career. Doesn't make her look very good as a leader to try to stand in his way bc she doesn't want to do the work of replacing him. Jmo

That’s not how that works. Gallo was already on the path to squad and had approval and support from squad lieutenant, his captain and chief Boden. Stella being the new lieutenant doesn’t trump that.
