Even though the are both the same character I'm a gogeta main person for seriousness but for jokes in battle vegito. I just find it weird vegito ome since he went straight to blue which used a lot of power. While gogeta uses less, also update now both fusions has time limit. For earrings ots when youna are a supreme Kai u stay fused for a life time.

They seemed pretty even it just really imo came down to timing of the upgrade. Because the earrings are supposed to last longer than the fusion dance. So gogeta was exhausting more power to end the fight quickly meanwhile vegito was dodging a lot and preserving his energy til that final blast.

I can’t really get behind their reasoning for this one, sure Vegetto does have the advantage with the potentially longer time limit but both fusions have been shortened drastically by power use so that so called advantage is negligible. And the argument about the stronger fusiee lowering their power resulting in a weaker fusion is pure speculation and has no backing in canon, the fact that a fusion can still power up after the fact kinda disproves the whole idea, also even if that little theory was true Goku and Vegeta have never had to worry about matching power levels because their base power is perfectly even in that regard. In short this fight would go either way, because they are the same character.

1. You're right about the time limit but Vegetto can have the advantage due to being longer. It can really go either way 2. That statement is true since goku literally said that to trunks when teaching them fusion. 3. You're also right about goku and vegeta's levels. But potara is still stronger since A×B is greater than A+B.

@@lordkai59 1. Both have been reduced to a matter of minutes, so the base time limit is negligible 2. Goku said that they needed to be equal for the fusion to work, he said nothing about it resulting in a weaker fusion 3. A+B AxB has never been officially confirmed and has been contracted multiple times, those multipliers are glorified fan theories

@@Andrew-Bastin 1. Yes I agree again but like I said, Vegetto still has the edge. If we're comparing their separations, Gogeta lasted 10 while Vegetto lasted 40. 2. It was never about resulting in a weaker fusion, it was about dropping to be equal. Trunks was stronger than goten and had to drop his level so that they'd be equal. 3. Daizenshuu stated that.

Vegetto last about 5-10 minutes in his fight against Zamasu, while we didn’t see Gogeta’s fusion end after his fight against Broly it had to have lasted at least that length, so despite the base time being in Vegetto’s favour when using the higher forms the time limit is basically the same 2. Then it’s a moot point, I know about matching power levels for the fusion, what I have issue with is Death Battle’s assumption that it will result in a weaker fusion. 3. That series itself as well as later statements contradict the Daizenshuu’s statement, you just have to watch the series to know that the fusion dance is a lot more than A+B. Like SSJ Gogeta is stronger than SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta combined.

It's funny that they say Vegeta was the weaker of the two in the fusion when in actuality Vegeta was stronger than Goku in both the Goku Black Arc and DBS: Broly if were only going off their base forms and shared transformations. I guess as of right now, Vegeta and Goku should be equals.

I'd find it hard to say Vegeta was stronger in either those arcs/points. Even with the HTC boost against Black, Goku still pulled off a nonsensical feat without kaioken that took both Vegeta and Trunks.

Vegeta was NOT stronger, Goku was keeping up with a stronger version of broly than vegeta was fighting due to broly rapidly increasing in strength as the fight continued. That was Brolys WHOLE ENTIRE IDEA as a character. You must have only watched the fights and not listened to a single piece of dialogue to come to this stupid ass opinion.

Nope, in Dragon Ball Super it was stated the potara earrings only last 1 hour for mortals & can be even shorter depending on how much power Vegito is using

Vegito used to be a permanent fusion without any confirmation that it was permanent with the only information coming from Old Kai (who was a kai btw which made his permanent), I’m glad they gave an actual explanation in Super.

Wrong, it's only permanent for Kai s, for others it's not permanent. However, it lasts longer in length than Fusion_Technique though.

Gogeta actually has more raw power compared to Vegito. I personally don't think Vegito would've been able to defeat Broly the same way Gogeta did.

I see what you mean but I disagree base vegito was stomping the shit out buuhan and super vegetto just showed him up buuhan literally couldn’t do anything. In manga Vegito pretty much didn’t struggle against merged Zamasu and was stated to be Beerus level. They’re both powerful that’s all, apparently they’re similar in power too

But Vegetto does. Potara is A×B while fusion is A+B. Not to mention elder kai states potara has a greater effect and is stronger.
