Kid Wedding: Cute or Creepy?

Two adorable children had a wedding photoshoot set up by their parents… inappropriate or totally innocent?

    Fake weddings for kids are cute (at home, playing house), and I'm guessing since they're wedding photographers they went all out.

    yes and kids too wedding photographers are most likely quite knowledgable about what happens at a wedding already so doing a wedding shoot might likely have been the kids idea too.

    First of all I think they don't know the whole story. This little girl is seriously sick, and might not have a cure. She wanted to get together with that little, who knows how long her life might last and her parents wanted their child to enjoy now. Research more before speaking.

    Vikki, You are grasping at straws to be offended here. Inserting homosexuality into a little boy and girl playing "wedding"... Why? What the hell is wrong with you that you not only get angry at the thought of someone having loving parents to look up to, you also felt the need to project a gay fantasy onto 3 year old children? That's deranged...

  • @Isaacthedondada

    @Isaacthedondada

    6 жыл бұрын

    Vikki DC No one mentioned anything about children who are boy or girl crazy not being loved, nor was that implied. All that was mentioned is that THIS particular little girl may have wanted to imitate the love the sees. And what does two boys or two girls have to do with this? You added that at the end like it somehow proved your point.

  • @vlo4829

    @vlo4829

    6 жыл бұрын

    I did not have a homophobic response nor did I shame anyone. The children are the product of their mother and father and they observe interactions and imitate. There is no fantasy insertion there, because that behavior among children is natural and scientific; children imitate their parents. Homosexuality is not recognized at age 3 so even if the child will later realize they are gay, that will not be the case at age 3. That is most definitely an insertion by you, because none of this was about gay kids and sexually aware 3 year olds do not exist. Even the "straight" nature of it is just mimicking at their age. If the idea of a wedding came out of nowhere from the parents, that would be strange, but they said it was the kids' idea. The parents just got more "into it" than normal because they're photographers. My impression is that the photography was the motivation rather than taking the "relationship" seriously in any way. They wanted cute pictures that also allowed them to have fun with their photography skills...

    Come on we can't lie... as cute as it is... it's weird to see two kids who are most likely not gonna remember this and end up seeing that they " got married " to some girl or guy when they were 3 years old like that's just weird... let the kids do play dates not get married.... the point is let kids be kids and stop trying to make them do things that you wouldn't even do when you were kids... once again it's cute but unnecessary

    Myronn Coleman plenty of kids have pretend weddings. I know I loved dressing up as a bride and had playground weddings and when I was older little kids who were my reading buddies would invite me to their "weddings" at recess. There was even a viral video last year of a 6 year old cancer patient who wanted to marry her male nurse and so they surprised her with a "wedding" and it made her so happy. This is just a fancy version of dress up and pretend.

    Nikki Mirhosseyni I've never done that... I don't think my parents even go as far as even do a " wedding " I get playing house and pretending to be a wife and husband and one child so to speak but this pretend wedding was just too much... like who really does this and have a complete pretend wedding and take wedding photos... it's cute I'm not judging but it's just odd

    Myronn Coleman I mean the photos are a bit out there but the pretend wedding is something I experienced all throughout elementary school. Now my niece talks about kids in her class and who got "married". It's a game just like house. Also, there was a trend in Victorian times all the way up to the 40s called the Tom Thumb wedding that was just like this. Kids were dressed up in bride and groom costumes traditional wedding photos were taken. People still do it. I mean it's not as common these days, but lots of people still take cute pics like this. Now the kissing was a bit much, but the rest I'd say is only odd because it's viral.

    Wow it sucks to see people being so negative towards Jeannie in the comments. Her reaction was understandable, based on what she’s going through and she makes valid points. Letting your children do such a photoshoot, and even just “playing wedding” like kids do often does set up the standard that in life marriage is the ultimate goal. Like, if you’re not married as an adult later on something must be “wrong” which just adds extra stress to your life.

    My Mom had a day care and Aiden age 3 and Kayla age 4 would go around calling each other husband and wife, so my mom got permission from their parents to have a wedding. Needless to say they had a mini wedding lol, they dressed up and had the works!Wedding pics were given to the parents and my mom has a copy in her scrap book. Everyone thought it was adorable and they had fun doing it.

    I'm 100% for this. It's cute and innocent. People forget that kids don't think the way adults do. You think a peck is grown? Well, guess what, kids kiss and hug all the time and it means nothing but showing innocent affection to them. Get over yourselves

    I hate how Loni ALAWAYS interrupts Jeanie/Adrienne to ask Tamara's opinion. Like, just because she is the only mom doesn't mean the whole show has to revolve around her. She was busy shuttin erbody up to hear what her BFF had to say, that not even the guest of the show could finish her opinion. She is way ruder than Tamar.

    the kids are having fun and the moms too. They will look back and think that the pictures were cute most likely. And yeah alot of small kids kiss at that age, they kiss mom and dad and their friends. My little boy kisses his 2 boy-cousins all the time, it's all love and friendship and doesn't mean anything sexual.

    Kids are so funny. I love it when they get fake married and then two seconds later say they’re marrying someone else. Let mamas make those silly things something they can always remember. Lord knows if I had a kid that wanted to “marry” someone I’d film it for the laughs everyone will get when those kids are older.

    Regardless of age, I think the idea of, "let's pretend to be in covenant, but not actually take responsibility for each other for life" sets a bad precedent and cheapens the idea of marriage-like its all about the dress up/ceremony, not the promise. I say, "regardless of age" because there's a show in South Korea where celebrities (teen and older) pretend to get married and move in with each other "playing out" married life, a free pass to feel heart-fluttering moments, but then break up in the end (no actual commitment). Holding hands and the "back hug" is a big deal on the show; don't recall anyone kissing (at least there was no kissing in the season / clips that I watched years ago), but they do "move in" together and start completing missions as a couple. This is no different in spirit. Marriage isn't something you enter into for funsies/entertainment, yet so many people treat it that way because we're only ever taught to play pretend, conveying it's just fun/thrill and dress up games, not the seriousness of it. Much less commitment for life. So, I don't like to see "pretend" ceremonies of what _should_ be a life-long pact/promise of loyalty/fidelity to another person. Marriage is not about the ceremony/party/dress, but about serious commitment for life. A resolute promise to stay with the other person, in good times and bad times, til death do you part. This is just fulfilling the parents' lust of the eyes, not teaching the kids anything edifying that will serve them well in adulthood, but may leave them with a false impression of what marriage is actually about (i.e. "superficial things like a wedding party-her dress and his tuxedo" as opposed to "building family life with mutual, life-long loyalty, husband to wife, wife to husband, a serious vow where you're expected to be a man or woman of your word and reflect Christ's loving relation to his loyal bride/church"). TL;DR - neither cute nor creepy, but cheapening and misleading to the reality of marriage.
