Me too! Sanemi and Shinobu are the best. Lost of people hate them, for being mean to the stereotypical, “Likable” characters, but their complexity makes me love them.

Bro i have a idea, you should make them, (all of the Hashiras) react to each other’s pasts

The reason that Shinobu cries when she transform into a kid bc her,Kanae,mom and her dad was attacked by a demon.Luckily,Gyomei was there to save them,but...not the parents.The parents were too late and died from the demon.

Shinobu's family died in front of her and she watched him kill his family. Sanemi had to kill her mother because her mother was a demon. A very depressing past.

@@Absolutelyabs69 huh😟😟 ⁠ [Manga spoiler‼] shinobu literally saw her parents get massacred in front of her eyes as a little child(probably under the age of 5) and almost died with her sister if it weren’t for gyomei saving them last minute. After that she only had her older sister left, who then at the age of 15/16/? got murdered too, and died in her arms. The reason she copies her sisters personality(although i’d argue she doesn’t wholly copies kanades personality, more so kanade’s smile and her kindness) is that kanade said how shinobu should smile more before she died, so shinobu felt obliged to do exactly that. She also took the responsibilities of kanade on her shoulders after her death(the butterfly mansion, her position as a hashira, kanao, etc.) and bottled up all her emotions behind a smile for years. + she lost herself in rage & revenge, resulting in her planning her own death for over a year- and going trough with it, injecting herself with poison over the course of said year- in order to get revenge for her sister, no matter that she had to die for it. I dont want to compare trauma even in the slightest, however shinobu did definitely not had an easy past😭
