Kid was the Ice Cube of the group, so to speak,. He wrote most of the material and is completely underated as a lyricist. Play gave them their style/look and swag.

From 1990 until 1991, Kid 'n Play image was made into merchandise as their faces were on T-shirts, posters, lunchboxes, and even dolls. In that time, they even had an NBC Saturday Morning cartoon show, also entitled Kid 'n Play, that lasted 1 season, and 13 episodes. A 1992 Marvel Comics comic book did a tie-in based on the cartoon lasted nine issues.

In 1993 I met Kid'n'Play the light-skinned one was so humble and nice but the dark-skinned 1 was ignorant and so mean to us kids😂 he act like he didn't want to sign autographs I'm glad he might have humbled his self up now but back then he was an a******😂😂

Back in the days when I was in HS I use to see Kid n Play in Flushing, Queens just walking by Roosevelt and Main st. My friends and would be all excited but keeping it cool. These guy were so cool.

You have to understand how the justice system works: First of all it's proven that the person that can pay a better lawyer (more resources) has over 80% chance of winning a case. But when it comes to inherited pensions there are laws in place such as: There are SEVERAL PLANS not just one that you must chose before you die, also whether you die BEFORE or AFTER the payments of the pension period is scheduled to begin matters (annuity starting date) When a spouse dies ..the surviving spouse needs to notify the employer and this employer in turn will request a death certificate, then it will notify the surviving spouse as to several things such as: 1. The amount of benefits and whether it's a lump sum or installment payments 2. Whether the benefits may be rolled over into another retirement plan 3. Other things pertaining such rollover If the plan member is married with a joint-life payout option , the default beneficiary is automatically the member's spouse unless the spouse WAIVES THAT OPTION. This would have to be a formal waiver by writing and it needs to be notarized. When this is done then the member (in this case the dead mother) is able to DESIGNATE ANOTHER BENEFICIARY SUCH AS A CHILD. If the plan member is not married , they may designate another beneficiary such as the grandmother of the child or grandpa or what have you. In summary , benefits do not automatically go to the child unless something was specifically done BEFORE the death of a parent happens. In this case I don't have all the details so I can't tell you why the child didn't get the pension but I can already tell you that the mom wasn't expecting to die pretty soon and didn't make provisions for an untimely death like many of us fail to do as well. Other things are at play such as if the person in custody of the child has a criminal record, has a history of drug use or child abuse that person WOULD NEVER GET TO SEE ANY PENSION MONEY if that person is in custody of a child, in fact if he's taken to court he may even lose custody of such child so many people prefer not to fight the case in court. It's all legal mumbo jumbo but that's the law. Cheers
