No no no, this is toxic positivity. Just because someone has it worse than you, does not mean in any right that you have no reason to be sad or not feel good about your current situation. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, or say that everything is bad, at all. This is just coming from someone who grew up being told that I am "lucky". Because, looking back, I was not. Never ask for forgiveness for simply feeling bad about your life, never say sorry for not being as bad off as someone else. I was just writing a comment about how his dad seemed so amazing but then I decided to check out his twitch which hadn’t been active for 2 months. I went to his Twitter where he had tweeted about finally being able to escape his abusive father. Wtf. So this incredible kid not only has to deal with this painful condition day to day but he also had an abusive father!?? Man that’s too much for me to really comprehend right now. We all need to show this dude some serious love and support. This has me all fucked up now.

My dad is honestly a horrible parent... But he's the only one I've got and I love him dearly. I'm still in high School but honestly I view him more a house mate than dad

I'd let this kid switch bodies with me for a year to do everything he ever wanted to do. Yeah, I'll get his pain but damn that's worth it because he deserves it! God bless him.

The way he so casually mentions and laughs at the fact he won't have fingers soon! Makes me realize I'm not nearly as tough as I think I am. This kid is a fucking legend for his bravery and positivity. I've literally seen others with this condition admit they would prefer that they weren't born (I'm definitely not saying they're weaker b/c of that), but this kid makes me walk away with hope and a new appreciation for life. Yeah, I was bullied for a condition called Sensor Remoter Syndrome, where my nerves do not cooperate with my muscles and joints (They do but not as normally as other kids, and that I stutter and twitch) meaning that I was bad at sports and kids yelling at me saying "You're stupid" or "You suck". Which gave me a lot of social anxiety and the recent death of my grandpa really didn't help, but I eventually got better and I moved to a different school which is where I made friends who didnt care about who I was. I've been watching your videos a lot lately and it's so amazing to see all of these personal stories being told. Your content really helps people open up and deal with their circumstances in a great environment. This video really spoke to me on a personal level, except I come at it from the outside perspective. My grandmother had dementia later in her life and even though it's not on the same plain as what Aaron is going through it's still amazing to me that you are giving attention to what it's like living with rare diseases and spreading awareness of it. This is so wholesome. This kids coolness just made my day and absolutely made me smile!

I cried watching the whole thing, I’m back watching it again. I watched these videos because I was at a very dark emotional part in my life. I’m emotionally abused and I’m ashamed to say that I watched these videos to make me feel better about my self. But after a while I noticed what I did and how it was wrong. This is a very emotional story and all my thoughts and prayers go to him. It’s sad to see what he has to take and what’s he’s going through. He deserves the best!

When the dad came on I cried, how he isn’t worried the future because in the now he’s still happy for his son who is clearly great at what he chooses to be great at. Amazing.

Between his and his dad’s positivity and confidence, this kid will rock this world somehow.

excellent video man this really just changed my perspective on life and made me see how no matter what condition you're born with everybody has the same potential to live a long and happy life :(

I actually started crying, it is so sad that people judge someone by their looks and not their personality. This girl knew he was a really good person, so she didnt do what everyone else did. She was friends with him and it's happy that he actually had a friend.

No kid should ever have to experience this kind of suffering. The courage Aaron has to face every day with as much optimism as he has is inspiring. I’m not crying, you’re crying.

this is why vr chat is so fucking important. it's so underrated but kids and people like this who need social interaction but can't get it for various reasons can use this. it's incredible and such a great game . i hate going out and it gives me anxiety and i feel incredibly self conscious, and i often get lonely because of it, but videogames are like a gateway to social interaction and meeting new people. i have so many awesome friends online that i can talk to without leaving my house. it's fantastic and it makes me so happy.

I just subscribed, I’m not an emotional person, but after recently becoming paralyzed from the chest down in a motorcycle accident I guess I have a new perspective and I too am literally crying rn watching. I just wish I could heal myself and everyone else suffering. You go through life not caring about anything and there are people out there so happy to have ONE GOOD DAY. I am trying my best to be happy I am alive or that I can hug someone and remember I am not the only one suffering in this world we have to stay tough and be positive. God bless everyone

This kid is something special. And hearing his dad talk about him and love him so much makes me so proud of em. There really are some good people left.

I cried like a baby watching this. This should help 99% of us realize at how lucky we are. Sadly that percentage will b a lot lower i believe.

I was just lightly tearing up at Aaron's story but then his dad comes in and then the floodgates opened this is so sweet

Man this is kid is awesome, really big thanks to him giving a better perspective of the world really helped me. Especially in this hard time. Thanks Aaron.

Holy crap. This kid....I just wanna give him a virtual hug. He really loves games and wishes he could enjoy things most of us just do normally. Dude deserved every minute of this time to share the story of his life

Shout out for that dad! Situation must be tough, but he embraces the situation because he truly loves his son. I respect that.

i dont finish a lot of long videos like this, but i sat through the whole thing and I feel so bad for all the pain he has gone through. I hope he sees these comments and know the support we are willing to give him.
