I know right? The soundtrack playing during the battle with Medusa is even labelled "Medusa's Final Battle" in a wonderful use of exact words. Yeah it is Medusa's Final Battle...but not ours.

I love this guy. I was a convention and I saw some guy cosplaying as pit and I just walked up to him and said "Well Pitty Pat glad you could make it". He just shouted HADES at me.

Yes I'm the 666th like.

This is one of my favorite villain introduction scenes ever. It's comedic, it's intimidating, and it sets the tone for the rest of the game. Also, Hades is revealed to be the true villain halfway through, so there's plenty of time to enjoy him as a character (which is good, because he's the best character in the game).

"Add a pinch of memories to a tons of soul. Put them in a blender, and hit frappe!" There's something about the way Hades talk that I will never get enough of. Also, you would think that this is a dead giveaway to Hades' ability to mold souls into being rather than it being revealed in chapter 22. And the timing Palutena's reacting to "Next to me, Medusa's going to look like a sweet, cuddly bunny." line keeps making me think that she fears Medusa's literally turning into a rabbit XD

@@solbadguy9025 He sounds like he's throwing a touch of Tim Curry in there. That means that Hades is going to the ONE PLACE that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism................... SSSSSSPAAAAAYYYYCE!!!

You know things will get crazy when the credits to the NES Kid Icarus plays and Hades comes in to rip it apart.

The sheer panic in Palutena’s voice when Hades mentions making another Medusa can show just how much of a threat Hades is making a fake that’s so strong it was considered “the final boss”

I mean, I honestly don't know how anyone could NOT have expected a plot twist here. That said, holy mother of Palutena, this is so well done.

I like how he blatantly states that he's using souls which is super low even for him and it passes over everyone's heads until they go down into the Underworld

This was actually the only game that a plot twist actually surprised me OTHER THAN WHEATLY BECOMING EVIL IN PORTAL 2

Hades is a hilarious and likeable villain. But he’s still cold and callous.

Okay this actually got me and I was like “oh does this mean a secret tenth chapter?” .....little did I know this game has 25 total chapters.

You know what would be awesome? A kingdom of hearts game where THIS Hades meets up and works with the Hades of Disney's Hercules. IT WOULD BE PERFECT!

I was about 10 when I played this masterpiece on my launch day 3DS, and when Hades ripped off the credits, I was absolutely shocked with me saying, "WhaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAATTT!!??!?!?!?!?" during a car ride, and because my family was following along in the story, they asked me, "What happened??" And I shouted, "HADES WAS BEHIND IT ALL ALONG!!" and they gave the same reaction Good times

And it was at this moment that a fun, enjoyable game revealed itself as a hilarious, unique masterpiece. These fake end credits are one heck of a twist for probably one of the funniest Nintendo villains ever created!

You know how in a lot of games they start with an amazing villain for the story but then about halfway through or near the end of the story mode, they kill off that villain and replace them with a villain that's mediocre at best? Well this... Is the exact opposite. Props to you Kid Icarus. No but seriously when is the next game coming out. I want more stuff as shocking and awesome as this.

Even when I first played this when I was I kid I was not stupid enough to think it would end after 9 chapters so I knew something was up

I played this game from my brother’s 3DS and I went in completely blind. All I've seen of this game before was Chuggaaconroy’s playthrough of chapter 20. Once I got to this point, I knew there was more to the game (though I didn't specifically know what), and I think I figured we’d be looking for Dark Pit. But then Hades came outta nowhere and said screw you.

Palutena: Hades?! Pit: Who's Hades? Me: Pit, YOU DON'T KNOW??

I'm still confused as to why Palutena randomly said that Pit is cute

((I just beat this game for the first time and I waited for the true credits to end. I listened closely to Hades, he is such a riot and he is now hands-down my favorite Nintendo villain to date! XD))

Even after all these years, ALL THESE YEARS, his voice actor remains 100% unmatched. Without sounding deep, he NAILS the malevolent voice without contest. It's truly astonishing to me. Though I am obsessed with Rick Wasserman's voice acting for Amon in Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty, Stuart Scott Bullock with his voice of Hades is thE greatest I have ever heard for the rendition of the primary antagonist.
