They brought something we needed in Hip-Hop to the table. We don’t all have to act and sound a like to make music. Laugh and have some fun. Now a days almost every rapper is tough, a killer, a dealer, a sex machine. Damn where is the story telling.

@stryfetc1 And if it did it often wasn't publicized as much, in the 80s and early 90s rather than a rapper sending someone to shoot at another rapper folks would pull up backstage or outside side after a show and just brawl and you wouldn't even hear about it in news or in magazines. Media is so quick and instant these days and we are so connected to the artists that if stuff happens we know about to soon after. But back then there wasn't as much coverage in general and certainly not hiphop coverage. That's why 30 plus years later you still hear these artists and their crews come out with these streets about situations we never new about. Having a slower news cycle and less cameras and less attention was a curse and a blessing I guess 🤔

Hammer was an incredible dancer and Vanilla Ice was top tier but my crippled grandmother was a better dancer than Kid N Play. Kid N Play were like goofy at home in your bedroom alone type of dancers. Hammer and Vanilla Ice were actual professional people pay to watch you perform dancers. There are levels to this. In all honesty if you think Kid N Play were talented dancers then you’re kind of just a clown who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Lol Next you’re going to say they were good rappers.
