Listened to this song while running through the mountains of Kyrgyzstan reflecting on how beautiful life is, how much I grew as a person and how we don't always appreciate what we have. It was so surreal from the beauties' that surrounded me to the thoughts that ran through my head. I listen to this song quite often and it always gets me in my feels. Beautiful song, very healing.

anony paws yes that’s the official definition but for some reason people also use it to describe being happy and sad. I think it’s probably the best word to describe those feelings rather than saying “happy and sad”

There’s something to this song. It’s the continuation and addition of layers which makes this simple tune a complex and beautiful one. When the complexity is increasing a vocal hum comes along to calm it all down. Then she says “and it went like” exposing the complexity of the tune and accepting it all . Kid francescoli has created a masterpiece with all the layering. You can experience nostalgia, euphoria and calmness all at once in this song. To me this hum is very motherly. Like a mother calming her child. Also you can hear jingles interspersed in the middle in random.

Every time I hear this song, I close my eyes and see old friends. We've laughed a lot, had a great time. But it's these people that I know I'll never see again. Not because they have died, but because they have gone their own way and the ways have separated. It makes me sad that I can never experience these beautiful moments again, but at the same time it makes me happy that I was allowed to experience these moments. This song made me think about memories, in particular the happiest time of my life, which feels so distant now. About six years ago, when I was 19 or so, biking around in some beautiful forests in Poland during a warm and beautiful summer with some of the most breathtaking sunsets and sunrises I've seen in my life - along with my girlfriend at the time, whom I loved very much. The relationship ended a couple of years later, and life's been pretty still after that. I somehow knew those summer days would be memorable, but not actually to the level where these memories would be some of the strongest in my life. I guess I never have felt as free as I did back then, leaving my stressful situation with school and family, going to another country to be with my best friend ever and just truly ... LIVE. Only time in my life I can remember not having a single worry, whatsoever. Not sure if I ever will be able to feel like that again, and if I don't, I am happy looking back at those days as my best. I have been considering going back to these forests, but I doubt it would be the same and I don't want to meet her ever again. New times, new places, perhaps?

I dunno but I used to be the same, my 19 where the best and I'm 26 now but what I've learn is not about to be chasing the feeling of that memory but to create new ones as you get older knowing you're not anymore that guy of 19 but 26 that is currently taking new responsabilities... @@slicendicem91 thank you! Unfortunately my best buddy ever, our family dog, died quite suddenly on saturday, the day before New Year's... He seemed to have some stomache issues and he seemed to be in slight pain, nothing particurarly unusual for him, but when we took him to the vet it turned out his spleen had quadrupled in size over the last few days due to cancer, which had spread to many organs, including his heart - it was so bad they wanted to euthanize him on the spot. Luckily we were allowed to bring him home to spend one last night with him, with the closest family, and to bring him in saturday for his final, everlong sleep. It was a beautiful farewell, but I miss him a lot. I will never, ever forget him, and I'm trying to just be grateful for all the years we had together, all the wonderful trips we took, and all the memories I have of him instead of being sad that he's gone, but it's hard. Rest in peace, little friend

Writing this kind of message for the 1st time. I had lots of opportunities in my whole life. I studied in the US, but got expelled. At that time I was depressed because of the break up with my ex-girlfriend. Was drinking and smoking…just not think about anything. Since then I have had problems in my life. Had to return to my country where i am from. Married with 2 kids. Love them so much. However, I hate myself because I can’t give them enough to make them feel that they have everything. In a lot of debts. Just not going well as I want to…everyone who is reading this, I wish u the best! Thank u !

When I was 9, my mom was at work and I was home alone with my two younger siblings. Was a sunny day when suddenly a storm came, it was around 3p.m. and the sky got completely red, it was so winding that the umbrella form my neighbour's pool flew to my garden, there wasn't anyone walking on the streets because it was impossible. I was sure that it was the end of the world and looking at my siblings crying I thought that if it was really the end of the world it should be worthy, so I decided to get some ice cream and I forced them to play Monopoly, which calmed us down. After two hours playing and laughing we realized that the sky was blue again. This song brought me right back at that moment, which I didn't remember until a week ago and as I listen to it I wish I would be as wise as that little 9 years old kid. Where did he go?

This is unbelievable how it feels when I hear something like this. It is a feeling of something that is very difficult to explain in words. It` s like when you are falling asleep. There is something that is very and I mean VERY familiar in it but at the end you cannot comprehend or make any sense of it (using rational thinking) however it`s shouting out loud that it is there, it is part of your essence . It`s like a dejavu of something that you have experienced before this life / Your true home is somewhere far beyond of what you can imagine.

Journal your memories as they come back to you of him. Losing memories can be like losing that person all over again. I'm sorry for your loss though. Some things can never be replaced and will always be missed. I never knew what it meant when people would say that someone else had a piece of them until I lost someone I loved. Now I get it, There's a little part of me that went with them that isn't coming back, no matter how long I live.

This song reminds me of being on an airplane for the first time headed across the Country to see my long distance boyfriend for the first time ever. My stomach was like a slushee machine and I was so nervous I felt like vomiting every time they announced how much time until the plane landed. I scurried around the airport looking for him and I took a lot of time trying to fix my hair and look good. When I first saw him I couldn’t believe how real it was...his baby blue eyes and light brown hair and the way he was dressed made my heart stop and I felt like fainting when we hugged. I miss him...

It's ok to not be ok sometimes

I dunno if it's weird but I mostly find myself listening between 0:00 ad 2:26 .There is something special in the melody. It feels like an adventure and makes you believe that with hard work, you can achieve anything over time.

This carries this weirdly effective collective of nostalgia, lucidity, disassociation, the novelty of traveling, and "sehnsucht", a difficult to translate German word meaning something like utopian longing. It's little wonder that the other commenters are associating the song with dying, which carries the same emotional connotations. This results in a kind of clarity where I'm reminded that I, writing this comment on 17 July, 2020, am not living my life to it's fullest potential. I might be in my twenties but I am pissing away my youth and what time I have. I refuse to waste another moment.

Nostalgia or longing but for a place or a time that you've never been. Like he said hard to translate into words but many songs trigger it. Home -Resonance being the platonic ideal imo.

As a teenager, I always wonder what’s the feeling of being free. Asian life really stressed me out, parents, family, grades... The only time I feel free is when playing Assetto Corsa at midnight, alone, just me, the car and the track. I’m in love with the Shutokou (Tokyo Highway) mod, it’s just beautiful to cruise in the very night, with gentle speed and ease. This is what I pictured when I heard this song, midnight, me, the car and... ah, the freedom.

@@zero5437 Thanks pal...it's just so weird that why the world is like this... Some years ago studying 14 hours per day, 6 days per week, just to reach a better high school for more resources. All the creation and passion being destroyed 'cause it's not "serious"...Now I reach uni, but seeing my little sister now facing the same struggle. It hurts. One day, my mom told me now I have to consider how to pay my family back, with all the efforts she and my father put into... I do know they sacrificed a lot on me and I will do sth to pay it back, but asking it straight out like this makes me stressed out. Now it's 1 am and I'm still helping my mom finishing her tasks.
