Not surprised, Kinetic. I spoke about this a couple of days ago, this is why i play MMO'S solo. I too enjoy the story,lore and general atmosphere when playing a game. This race mentality of just completing content as quickly appears to be a modern trait. I come from the days of Meridian 59, Everquest. In those days it was common for people to help each other and indeed enjoy the world. Today its all about rushing to the end, such a shame.

There's so much beauty in this game. One of the most lovingly crafted experiences I've ever seen....and people all are going past it as fast as they possibly can. I don' think they understand what an amazing game they have. It could also be that some (many?) of them already took their time during CBT1 or 2 or FCBT but I doubt it because it's the same way I see people treat every other MMO.

One of the reasons why, when i play ANY MMO i join an Adult Only Guild with voice coms. If it has kids in it. I dont join. Classic WoW is coming out next year. I can see the chat lol. All the kiddies RAGE quiting within a week due to the long leveling and having to actually read the quests to where to go lol.

@Greymark A-men, Vato! Seriously, what ever happened to stopping to smell the flowers? And this coming from a guy who likes to dash from Points A to B in the overworld. I may do that, but I still try to enjoy the ride. What's the point of having a big open game, or having lots of nooks and crannies, if you're just going to make a beeline for the end? Yes, I can understand when there isn't much content, but even when there is, many still ignore it! And when the devs cater to the "speedrun" mentality, they complain that there's nothing to do BUT dungeons/raids/etc... So which is it? Honestly, it's a crying shame. Just sad... Also, forgot to mention the first time, but I'm pretty sure they're only concerned with endgame. But then again, they still rush even there, from what I can tell. I get you want to do as much as possible, but then why bother, if you're not going to ENJOY it? (Ok, NOW I'm done)

It reminds me of myself playing Guild War where I had to go solo and hire NPCs instead of teaming up with other players, due to the same stupid skipping the scene issue. Keep it up man. I like your videos overall. The way you are having fun with this game is just great to watch.

GW1 made me fall in love with soloing and NPC followers! I miss that game!

Soloing dungeons increases your skill and awareness, awesome video, and you only need to record dungeons once. Then cut them into your videos if you want, so extract all cutscenes as separate entities for multiple use if needed.

Big GG!!! It's a really good idea to do the dungeons solo! And it even bring a whole more challenge to the game :) I'm kinda like you, but sometimes I like the more speed run style...it depends on my mood I guess :D

I am with you in that I also like to take my time in this game. There are so many nice touches that its really easy to miss them.

You still dont use that big AOE 3 lane wave. Deals big damage and it is a ranged ability. You will gatter big groups of mobs and use that to obliterate them

I'm with you on solo play mate. That's why I HATE when (especially in MMO-lite games) close content for solo gamers (ekhm... like Bungie locking Raids without even matchmaking) Awesome video as always! I also hope for more Wolcen content!

Hey Kinetic! Awesone gameplay as usual! Was wondering, when you go solo for a dungeon (normal or hard difficulty) How's the mob scaling?

I like this. You can do the dungeon on the hardest difficulty alone and its possible. Obviously with a group its faster but still doable solo.

it is scaled to group size, so it is scaled down to 1 player

I agree. Solo is the way to go. I enjoy doing solo dungeons and raids in WoW more than I do when with a group.

I don't know what server I'm on since I can't read Korean lol, but it's one of the most popular English community servers most streamers are on. It will probably be difficult to play together because my family and work time is very chaotic.

Seems like dungeons scale based on amount of people who are in. Pretty sweet, seems like this game could be a total solo till the guardian raids :)

Nothing is certain, even the rumors of them prioritizing the western release over China are being countered by other rumors so...I'll wait for the official word from them that they're doing it and when the beta starts. That's the only thing that will give me 100% confidence of an English release.

that's why this game would be perfect if they have a "Follower" system like diablo3 does to allow you to hire few special classes of characters that you can also give some basic item to help you when you dont want to play with humans but is almost impossible to win alone. ;-)

Normal: Story Mode / Exploring = no need to skip HARD: skip shit to get the loot! I vote "yes" when ppl start watching or exploring in hardmode

Is there a way to watch the scenes you skip in a game after?

If it's a dungeon like this, then just re-enter the dungeon again. But if it's overworld or story instance quest(eg. Wall of Glory), then you can't see it again without makeing another character.

Does the dungeon scale for one or more player/ Keep up the great work. Siochain.

Yes most content in Lost Ark scales with number of party members, similar to rifts in Diablo or flex difficulties in WoW raids.

usually the say "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go further go together..." sadly, that's definitely the opposite in Lost Ark and Korean kid's mentality :P

Actually if you tell them its your first time and want to see the cutscene, quite alot of people will kindly let you. This includes Koreans But I won't defend against the spoiled brats there. They are toxic as hell. Severely more than any other community I've known.

These cutscenes are hard to 'balance'... People doing it for the first time will want to watch it, but after that u will just get tired of them... I can understand those guys, but at the same time........... ;x

The thing is that he goes in the party hard mode, a mode that its to gain good loot. I think he should do the first run of dungeons solo, see the cinematics, learn what kind of attacks the bosses have, etc... Then play hard for the loot. I understand his perspective on enjoying the game, but on the other part of the discussion, he is having 3 players hostages for all the dungeon. Maybe they have time constrains and can only do one or two hours a day and want to squeze their little avaible time (dubious i know but factible). The best way should be to search for like minded individuals and do the dungeons runs with people like himself.

The thing is we were young once, i certainly do not remember behaving the way some young players act today, in game. Patience certainly is a virtue in this day and age.

Gonna tell you why, the cutscenes or story most be played whit guild mates, and tell them that you gonna do that ( see it as a favor ), when you make pty whit other guys ( non-guild or friends ), if you don´t skip the cutscene people are diying while you watch, people can´t start if you are watching or buff and other things can be lost and more important it brakes the flow of the pty completing said dungeon , thats why everyone skip the cutscenes.... And of curse, this have the other side, learn every aoe, of every boss, and be good at all times and everyone will be in a sempai notice me mode and you gonna notice, and feel like what have you make of you, a top player....

I just don't see the longevity in this game for me. I hate lockout timers and gating in my ARPGs. I much prefer seasonal games like POE/D2/D3 where I can just go ham for a few weeks and wait for the next season. I also see how the rewards go down and down as your ilvl goes up. And so I can see myself playing this game off and on and not worrying about maxing gear and keeping up with players. This also means I probably won't spend much on it either though.

Because there are so many activities in the game I don't see the dungeon timers as problematic. Also Guardian Raids are going to be the bigger content and focus at endgame and people run those for hours and hours again and again. But I do get where you're coming from. As for the ilvl loot...all I can say right now is that I feel like I might be experiencing something like that and if it's detrimental enough to the game and people make a fuss about it I think the devs will do something about it.

@@KineticGTR I'm only judging this based on what I've seen a couple of twitch streamers experience. And they didn't seem to have issues, it's just my own sentiment. All ARPG's have diminishing returns at endgame though and maybe rolling alts is a solution for me.

I'm sorry but Korean don't like watch the cinematic movies. we just want to get better weapons and get level up. so if u want to enjoy the movie, u should say '영상 보고싶습니다.' or '노스킵으로 할게요.' they mean that 'I want to watch cinematic.' or 'I don't want to skip cinematic.' if u have any other question, leave some comments. and then I'll let u know about LostArk that Korean are thinking

It's a story dungeon... Raids actually have pretty open style maps.

Kor user think about this hidden Mokoko & cutsene = normal mode solo play. Item farming = hard mode party play.
