Hi, I have two Sidewalker Atoms. Mine came with spokes which were breaking often. I upgraded to rims, so you're doing well with those wheels. I can't get a Clix here in US. I switched to a Kickbike City G4 after maybe 1.5 years riding Atom. Ride the scooter you can find & see if you like it better than walking or running. I fell while running sidewalks and drivers don't notice pedestrians. On my Atom I felt safer & more visible so problems averted. The Atom is fun due to the smaller front wheel. It is very maneuverable. I can slalom and avoid rocks or portholes. Wider foot board is good for standing/resting both legs. However, you will work harder kicking or switching legs like you said. Lastly, kicking technique can help everyone. Try to keep your hips square by bending the standing leg & notice elbows are bent at same height. Don't start to kick before the standing leg is extended to upright posture. I usually wait until my chest nearly touches the handlebar. Footbiking is like swimming on land so be thrifty with your movements!

So did you like the kickbike City G4 more than the Atom, or still prefer the Atom?

You can put a much thinner and lower footboard metal platform on Atom, that comes along with the scooter

Excellent review. I think looks wise I would've took the Atom but the Clix sounds like it beats it in true practical scooter / kickbiking logistics. And the 16 inch wheels don't look anymore intrusive than the 12 inch ones. Clix all the way. Thx!

Not a good idea to just kick with one leg…leads,to,muscle imbalances and tires you out quicker!

Couldn't the handles on the atom be lowered more too?
