I appreciate the reviews but honestly I do wish consumer advice platforms would stop saying stuff like "would you take one of its competitors because it offers more appeal"... I dunno mate, that's kinda why I'm watching this video?? I don't have 7-8 different SUVs parked outside nor can I spend all morning with them all so what I need is a credible journalist to give me their opinion on what the best in class car is

I will hopefully be ordering my third Sportage very soon. Loved my 2014 Sportage and my current 2017 model. I’ve been on test drive of the 2022 model and love it.

My Sportage HEV 4 arrived a week ago and having driven it on a variety of roads, I am very impressed with the handling, comfort and of course tech. Slight lag to the automatic shift in Eco mode but change to Sport and everything responds quickly for overtaking. Very nice car Kia

I've had my GT Line S now for three days and it's an incredible ride very smooth and it's running on 19inch wheels,performance wise just can't fault it fuel economy in eco setting 40mpg I'm very happy with that,

Just got my 2022 Sportage GT Line S Auto AWD today. Admiring glances from other motorists and it drives beautifully too. Still trying to get to terms with all the toys in it, but love the heated steering wheel & seats (leather). Really pleased with our purchase.

This will be my third Sportage getting a 3 spec petrol automatic at end of April. Been happy with my current gt line for past 3 years. Can't wait for the new one. Well worth looking at.

3 mild hybrid petrol version ordered a couple of weeks ago. This will be my 4th Sportage and I’m really looking forward to getting out and about in this new version.

Just ordered mine today, GT-LINE S with the hybrid engine. Should be collecting in 8 weeks if all goes well

Not bad. I placed an order two weeks ago and was told 10-14 weeks. GT-S Hybrid as well - keen to see if they can stick to this schedule.

Certainly top of my list, GT line S PHEV is the one I want, 14 months to go until my current lease ends. Will be my 1st kia if I go through with it, been a VW man for years.

Good for you. I was hoping to get a similar trim, are Kia doing any reasonable deals considering the rise in car costs, second hand market.

Pick up my GT-line S next Tuesday looking forward to it big time, 1.6 hybrid, petrol. This will be my 4th sportage and every one has given me trouble free driving, hoping for the same from the new car. Giving a seven year warranty shows confidence in your product, well done Kia!

Hello after 1 year experience did you had any problem with the car?

Just ordered my new Sportage. Got in just under the wire for a 'Launch Edition' - based on the 3 spec, 1.6 petrol only, but with some nice additions and a nicely lower cost than a 3 or above. Think some of the exterior freatures will grow on me, but in reality I'll be looking at that lovely interior far more. All I have to do now is wait for it to get here!

Hi from Germany! Here we won‘t get the normal hybrid model, only the plug-in hybrid. That probably has to do with the government here offering generous rebates on full electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. I too am enamored with the interior. I particularly like the big sweeping display, its perfect positioning and the very logical transmission selector. Since the plug-in hybrid won’t be available here until spring, I test drove its sister model, the Hyundai Tucson in plug-in hybrid form. It was a pleasure to drive! The plug-in hybrid produces 261 horsepower and the perceivable difference is great. The car feels very agile and light-footed. The immediacy of the low end torque makes even in-city driving fun. The safety features are great too. The blind spot camera that is visible in the instrument cluster is brilliant. The combination of the Sportage interior, the safety kit and the plug-in hybrid drivetrain was enough for me to plunk down my money and order one.

I always feel that plug in hybrids are neither here nor there . Most drivers complain of the poor all electric range with these vehicles ; 40kms instead of the claimed 70kms (BMW 330e) .

Kia is killing it .

Just ordered the Gt plug in version of Sportage and can't barely wait until I can drive out on the road with it. ❤️

My dad had the 1948 Kia Sportage but now he owns the Kia stonic GT line

The lights are a bit busy. The tiger nose grill as LED daytime running lights would really boost the image

Why no mention about the towing capacity? Is there a version that will tow a horse box? (2000-2400kgs.

I like it, I do think the wheels are horrendous tho

They have a 'launch edition' available until March 2022 which is just a bit more expensive than a 2 but cheaper than a 3 and has all the same spec as the 3 including the dual cluster display (which looks fantastic). It's only in 1.6 turbo tho so no hybrid. Anyway I have ordered one myself and its quite affordable for quite alot of car. It's worth checking out before they stop selling them 👍

Ordered my Launch Edition yesterday - hard to see that much car anywhere else for the money.

Just purchased the new Kia Telluride, absolutely love it. Unfortunately for you Brits not available in 🇬🇧…yet.

Love my 2016 Kx3. AWD 2.0d. Once a Beamer Guy, NOT ANYMORE 👌

Great vehicles. We get the LWB version in Australia with either a FWD 2.0 Petrol, & 1.6 T-Gdi petrol AWD or a 2.0 Td AWD. Hybrid & PHEV will arrive here late 2022.

It is quite interesting to see how models differ from market to market . In Europe 2.0 litre models are a dying breed like 4 engined jets except for the high performance brands .

Just to note it's a mild hybrid and 4 wheel drive

Desperate for a videos with the different trims next to eachother!

Really like the look of it, if I was to choose one it would be a 3 with the 1.6 mild hybrid, would like a gt line but doesn't get the 2 big screens, the gt line a is too much

The GT Line does get the 2 big screens, they look exactly the same physically, same but of plastic. The only difference is in the software where the drivers cluster is more central instead of being full edge to edge screen but actually that is a good thing because the full one is covered by the steering wheel when driving and you have a hard time telling the speed. Test drove the GT Line S and that was my experience, then looked how the GT Line looks and they've done a good job, so I ordered one.

When are you due for delivery, I have a Seat on order but its taking ages (Ordered beginning August) so started to look around, could get a sportage March /April but it was 50-60 quid a month more on a comparable lease for me, really like the interior though (well most of the car tbh!! 😂)

@@Leonfr_2022 went for the 1.6t hybrid (220bhp I think). Find out next week what the wait time is but my guy said probably around May. Will update you once I know. I'm paying £257 a month on PCP with 6.5k deposit (value of my current Niro) on 3yr and 8k miles a year

@@YegaSRT yes please do, that's interesting, my Leon is/will be 240 a month 3 years 6 payments upfront and 10,000, sportage was around 290 for a GT line normal 1. 6 petrol man not the mild hybrid, or just over 300 for the same but the 3 spec, just can't stretch to that unfortunately, do you have Instagram?

@@Leonfr_2022 ye I think I got it quite discounted, I'm quite good friends with my Kia guy so get good deals and I've got my whole family into Kia's from him, think this is our 8th Kia in the family now so it's in his interest to keep me happy 😁 What do you want insta for mate? I like the new design inside and out but 2 inch less ground clearance compare to Rav4 or Subaru's is big con for me.

What is the MPG like? Did I see 32.5mpg? That’s pretty terrible if so…. Been looking at these but if this is true that puts me off massively

man, those headlights...I don't know about those. I'm currently in a 2020 Sportage...love it. I'm going to drive the wheels off of this one, so I'm sure by the time I need a new one, they will look way different than even this one. My previous vehicle was a 2005 Sorento, had zero issues with that and drove it for 15 years. I'm convinced now that Kia is actually a very good brand...shhh.

Guys, in Cyprus no warrantee is given on clutch and gear box and i was so shocked that i may not proceed with buying it.. 7 years warrantee only on stupid issues.. any opinions??

I am in Saudi Arabia and will definitely want to go for Sportage. Wish me luck...

The rear radar spots are problematic. They are recessed so that snow and other stuff can accumulate there which the car interprets as an obstacle rendering the rear radar useless.

Interesting to compare with it's Japanese challenger the Yaris Cross hybrid though it is not exactly like with like .

@@kiwan5425, I don't trust J.D. Power myself. I think they are more of a promotional company for hire. Consumer reports, or KZread's Scotty the mechanic, are more neutral and unbiased.

Can these be classed as commercial vehicles? I am self employed and work in forestry.

I find it strange they will sell me the top of the line plug in hybrid yet they cannot tell me the Co2 emissions figures! Missing some big company car sales without these figures!

Definitely could buy this Kia. Elegant looks. To me it beats a BMW or audi hands down. At least this car is not a cash cow to the Germans.

Why isn’t the Sportage offered with adaptive suspension in the UK like it is in Europe and other markets?

Beautiful car this new 2022 Sportage, I've got a 2019 Sportage 1.6 petrol and it's a great car so for next car would love this new Sportage in GT line trim with the 1.6 petrol turbo in manual in red or green but would take any colour really, would love the Sportage 4 or GT line S in hybrid but too much monthly cost so I would happily settle for the GT line or the Sportage 3 at a push just for the heated seats and the two full size 12.3 inch displays 👌👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We should have the option of the long wheel base version which looks much nicer.Kia also don't give us the option of the Sorento X line or the Kia Carnival and i dare say the Telluride would sell pretty well too.Thanks Kia.

The black plastic wheel arches make the wheels look rather small.

Pleased at last they have moved the indicators up on the body.It was such a very poor design on the rear the indicators got dirty and easily missed by following drivers.

I have a Kia as a company car and the Bluetooth for making calls and call quality is the worst I’ve ever experienced!!

Dang the EU model has the 40 20 40 split but I think that the US model is just 60/40.

In Europe they are also very expensive

He didn't know hybrid car benefit. Hybrid car is less efficient in high way. But Hybrid car is more efficient in the city or heavy traffic. Hybrid car is more efficient for city driver. US car reviewers highly recommend hybrid. Just watch the Tucson hybrid review.

I do like the sportage but I don't like the ridiculous huge accelerator pedal

No fiscally switches or buttons for the controls is not user friendly also the front is all grill not now for me

Style wise it looks like they have taken a step backwoods, look back at the 2013 style much better shape. A sportage owner.

The interior is definitely a big step forward. But in my eyes, the exterior is a mess of clashing lines and angles. The EV6 pulls it off really well, but the Sportage is not for me

I liked the last model, but not this one.

Why are there two different shaped Sportages going on sale? It looks like America are getting a style that looks bigger and better. Will they release the bigger style in the UK

No we won't get it.I agree the LWB version looks much better but we also don't get the Sorento X line,Carnival or Telluride all of which would probably sell well.

A top of the range Kia Sportage or a base spec Lexus NX??? Almost exactly the same price…

Lexus will hold its value long term. Depends how long you are keeping it. Lexus build quality will always be a different level.

Ordered mine but was disappointed you don't get the panoramic roof with a 1.6 petrol manual which I've had with the last 4, he said i could, but only if it was an automatic which i didn't want i learnt in a manual its put me off quite a lot! Bad move losing our roof kia! 👎👎😐

The worst cars to buy are Fords Bought a Ford Puma and within a month the clutch was gone (only 1900 miles on the clock). Charged me £989 and no replacement vehicle was given.

I like the new Sportage,but I think the engine lineup isn't great at the moment. Nobody cares for the diesel engine now,the 1.6l 150hp mild hybrid drinks like there's no tomorrow and the hybrid 230hp has too much power (where I live you pay the taxes on how much power the car has-570€/year for this one). I think that a hybrid with around 160-180hp would be the sweet spot for this car

I knew before I saw the review you’d be doing the absolute top spec model. Just like every other review. Never ever the standard spec. So annoying.

I find the styling, both outside and in, far too contrived to be beautiful. I know it has its virtues but it isn’t a handsome car.

'quality wise its not BMW levels' ??? Sooo..? So it's not cheap hard plastic crap and overpriced? I have the 2020 Sportage GT Line S and it's is far more premium than a BMW. Also,.other than the cool exterio, this looks worse than the top spec previous gen in every way. Worse dash, worse seats, worse wide column which will cut into your leg room..Hard pass on this car

EU version is a deal breaker!!! KIA and their lame excuse for the SWB(...is to help the car feel more at home on EU roads). Like SUVs longer than 4515mm can not fit into EU roads right? What kind of BS is this???

How does he think those screens look great!? Look horrendous and a technical disaster waiting to happen. Give me normal dials everyday. Think Kia have lost their way a bit. Love the exterior look though with the exception of that power boot lid. Time that opens and closes I could be half way home. Why o why all the unnecessary tech these days?
