Hello, I just made a picture of it but it seems that it is not possible to add this in my answer. But yes, there are two guide lines. One from the new camera and one from the Kia system. But this no problem. View is perfect.

the camera is 12v , original camera is 6,5v. How should this work ?

I don’t get this, am I being really thick? New camera comes with the red and yellow connectors, do we cut those off and connect the wires to old connection directly? What confuses me as you still see the new connectors in the final photo, if they stay on where do they plug into

It’s bin a long time since I did this modification. The camera comes with red power connector and yellow video connector. Leave it like it is. Grap another cable with an red and yellow connector and weld that to the original connector from the car as shown in the video. Hope this helps.

@@wvduuren thanks for reply, so grab another cable, cut ends off weld them to the original connector then plug them into the red and yellow connectors on the new camera and should work?

Please add how to remove camera. Had screws out but cant remove trim camera sits in. Also do you have a link to the camera? Appreciate your vid but need to know how to remove and which camera to order. Thanks

Hi Mark, when you remove the black strip were the licence plates lights are attached to you will have access to the camera. The chinese camera did not fit exact so I had to make the camera hole little bigget

Hi, I removed the (licence) number plate lens screws and the 2 tailgate lock push button release button screws as well as the 2 screws at the left and right sides of the trim but it is stuck fast even with all these screws removed. There are no more screws to remove having removed all 8 and dont want to damage the trim by forcing it. Had plastic trim remover tool under each end trying to lever it out. How did you remove the trim once the screws were out? Also advise link for Aliexpress camera you used. Many thanks

@@M..R.... Hi Mark, It was some time ago. I can’t remember that it was that difficult. There are some clips you have to lift. Send me a mail so I can sent you a link or screenshot from the camera I bought. wvduuren@home.nl

Undo the two screws holding it in. Mine still wouldn't come out so a quick hit with a rubber malet did the job!
