They tried to charge me $140 to change both and together the parts only cost $37 and takes 2 minutes to replace. Yeah I won’t be having my car serviced by Kia anymore. Thank you so much for this video!! You’re amazing ❤️🙏🏾.

Thank you! Took my 2015 in to get an oil change this morning and they recommended changing both the engine and cabin air filters $33.99 for the engine filter and $49.99 for the cabin air filter.

I'm glad you're able to save some money by replacing these filters on your own! Please remember to keep the receipts and write on them the date/mileage for your service records.

Wow Thank you because the dealership wanted to charge me $48 dollar and I did not like the sound of that so I got my filter and I am going to change it today😊 By the way I am not a mechanic. I'll update you on how it went

Hi Juana! I'm glad you are able to save yourself some money by tackling this task yourself. I'm sure you'll do great! Remember to keep the receipt for the filter and note the date and mileage of your car when it was installed for your car's service records.

Does it need to be the air filter with the little plastic reinforcement in the middle cuz I see some on eBay that don't have it and idk if it makes a difference

The KIA filter has the plastic rib in the middle of the engine air filter. I don’t see it as a required item depending on the design of the filter. The KIA filter paper elements are held in place quite firmly because of the plastic middle support. As long as the other filters without the middle support don’t allow the paper element(s) to flop around, then it should work.

does the air filter that you used in this video fit a kia soul 2019

From my searches, yes the 2019 Kia Soul uses the same engine air filter as the 2017 Kia Soul I use in the video.

Sorry to hear the clips broke off. After I created this video, I read more than a few posts about those tabs being quite fragile. So far, the clips have not broken on our 2017 Soul's filter door.

Kia dealer wanted to charge me over $ 300,00 to change oil and cabin and air filter . Less that $ 30,00 for both filters ill do it myself . I did my own brakes on my Kia Soul . I have did many brakes on cars ans engine rebuilds .

Jiffy lube tried to charge me $44 for the cabin and I went auto zone and did it all for 9.99
