I love the KiA soul I have a KiA soul plus they have some torque and are fun to drive

Darrell D mine is a 14 with 160hp and 151 pound feet of torque they are powerful little GDI engines I love the torque

@@Keith-vacuums I have the + too but mine is a 2012, non GDI. However it still has a lot of performance. I'm impressed with how easy everything is to work on. People change engines in their garage in one day. It reminds me of the old Honda Civics... small, simple, fun, and performance.

Thanks Steve. My first gen wave-runners can be seen in the garage too. I'll get back to repairing those now that the Kia is finished. For the Kia I'm all in at $4k because of a $600 fee from Copart. I saved about $3k from a non-salvage title vehicle but the best part was just having fun on a project.

Hello PizzaKilla. Honestly it would easier if you do it yourself. It would be impossible to see every part close up. Small plastic parts can have cracks which I could not see. Check out kiaparts.com or a similar website. You can view all the parts. Also if you remove the parts, you can easily what is broken and to what extent. If you post a video on youtube I can try to help.

What rotors did you use?

I don't remember exactly. I usually shop around for prices and reviews but I've been having brake issues. I'm not sure if it's a bad design with the car or what. They're slightly warped already. I highly recommend ceramic pads though.

Idk if I missed it, but what was the total investment?

My son has been driving it ever since. It's been a great car! The car was about $2000. Parts and paint cost about $700. Total 2700.

@@bluesuitreviews658 Be sure to inspect the vehicle before buying. The channel "Auto Auction Rebuilds" shows good inspections. Also, my wife has a channel but it's in Spanish "Una Latina En Ohio" Where we show the inspections a bit more. Good luck on your journey.

@@Ryen85 It's a decent choice but just be careful that the engine is good. Make sure you actually hear it run. I bought an Elantra and it had a bad engine and it's been an absolute nightmare. If you can, buy a low miles car and always change the oil. 👍Good luck
