Good information! Definitely NOT a rust-belt car!

You probably just saved me a couple hundred dollars in labor. Just bought a 2012 soul. ABS light and ESC (traction control) light are both on. Mechanic on the phone says it's probably a wheel speed sensor and it is a common problem with this year range of most Kia models. He said he could fix it for about $300 (if that is the problem) or I could bring it in just for a diagnostic test at $140 and know for sure what the problem is.

Do you have to replace the wheel hub too?

How do u know which is one is bad , out off the four possible ? I assume there's 4 ( each on each wheel ?

you have to have a good code reader and it will tell you which wheel

@@addismultitasking3504 thanks . I'm trying to load up a Picture from my Sportage , to show you which 2 lights is coming on the dashboard , to make sure those are related to abs sensor. It probably will not let me post up the pictures .

I just did a 2013 silver soul and I found the part on eBay it was a genuine Kia part still inside the Kia packaging I would not use those China aftermarket eBay parts

Did it had abs light on or just replaced? I have Kia Soul when it’s raining right side tire just skid with noise Iam thinking to just replace it

I had the security nut break off on me as well. There is a specialized socket that I used to remove the nut. just search amazon "locking lug nut removal tool" dont get the large sets unless your a mechanic. buy just the one size for your wheel.. should be 10 bucks. Personally I removed all of them and replaced with standard nut. Who is going to steal these ugly wheels?
